[00:02:46] I'm not sure if that's a good thing or a bad thing in this case, but time will tell. Here's what I found in my notes from a while back that I had forgotten about this was originally shared in a tweet by beanie a to Z. It is a bank vault Timelock collection on the web here. So he originally said in his tweet, what a wonderful collection of vault time locks, this is absolutely a website to visit. [00:03:13] And I agree these things are their artwork. They're so beautiful. Uh, and a really great. Just read a short segment out of the page here. It says the collection has about 300 examples between 1874 and 1885. Many entrepreneurs entered business, but few were able to navigate the litigious environment dominated by the largest players. [00:03:37] And to be honest, their designs were often not as good. There are about a dozen makers whose output was less than 50 units of those makers. Either. No extant artifacts are available or only a few of them. Either museums or private collections, some of those can be seen here of those makers that met with some success. [00:03:58] All of those makers from 1874 through today are represented. And of those nearly all of the various Timelock models, each produced are represented. Anyway, beautiful collection of locks. The website looks like something out of the, the nineties. The locks are gorgeous. And if you check out the other parts on his site, that a lot of a clock stuff on there, including what appears to be a very beautiful custom designed clock, they, the, uh, person's been working on. [00:04:32] So I recommend you go check out that site, some beautiful timekeeping equipment there, and we have a really cool new design in the quest for an unpickable lock. This one designed by an Andrew McGill. It was posted on Reddit awhile back. So I invented a new lock mechanism and made some prototypes in my basement workshop. [00:04:55] Now I'd love to see some people try and figure out how to defeat it. I'm a hobby machinist and a while back, I had an idea for how to make a lock that I think should be extraordinarily difficult to pick. If you don't know the key bidding, the goal was to make a lock that gives zero useful feedback to a lock picker. [00:05:12] He has a website. And we have videos from, uh, Andrew himself, as well as a video from Mr. Paradise, since he received a version of The Lock attempting to pick it. And in reply to my tweet about this lock noob says he has a copy that he's hoping to review soon. So look forward to that. He can find out more either in the linked videos or in the website, which it will also be linked in the Shona. [00:05:43] And on the subject of lock newb, he posted in a tweet this week that there is a lock noob imposter out there said, well, this is a first someone contacted multiple companies pretending to be me and asking for free stuff. Number one, my actual email is public. Number two, don't ask for a chef, a two-second search would show I've already reviewed number three. [00:06:04] These companies know it's not me. And he shared a screenshot where one of the suppliers had. Send me email said while someone is trying to impersonate you and get products from us, thought of bringing this to your notice. So anyway, something to be aware of, if this person is willing to try it with Lochner, they might try it with, uh, any of the larger channels. [00:06:27] Unlikely. They would try it with me, but just in case they do all of my email addresses that I will use come from my domains. If it doesn't come from one of my domains, it's not. Most likely to come from Charles kern.com. Charles builds scrap.com. The Lock Sportscast dot com or the lucky awards.com or.net. [00:06:50] And at the current time, I don't ask for products because I don't do reviews. So if somebody sends you an email asking for products for me, email me at a known address and just let me know. And in another tweet by Locke newb, he said, I'm getting close to 100,000 subscribers. I'd like to celebrate. If I can get there with a live, ask me. [00:07:11] In case you can't be there. And to help me fill in dead air, please put some questions for me below anything about lockpicking my channel, me, whatever you want. And looking on YouTube looks like he has scheduled it for May 1st. So be watching for that. And if you would, might be a good idea to go ahead and send some questions before it starts so that, uh, like you said, you can fill in the dead air and I missed it when it had. [00:07:40] But I saw that Starrylock had put up a video, uh, doing a birthday giveaway thing, turns out he just had a birthday. So happy birthday to Starrylock, uh, an amazing member of the community at hand for his birthday. He gave away prizes. He was giving gifts out on his birthday. So, um, just shows what a wonderful person he really is. [00:08:02] So I wish you all the best and happy late birthday. Sorry. And on the video front looks like artichoke 2000 has started a new series on the asset twin series of locks. The first video is out and it's is number 32, the Assa twin series intro. It's been a while since we had a breakdown video from him. So I recommend you go check it out. [00:08:25] There is a reason why he keeps winning Lockie awards. He's just puts together amazing. And then I came across a video by great Scott, who is a YouTuber who does a lot of electronics, YouTube videos. Uh, somebody I actually subscribed to on, uh, for his electronics content really does a great job of breaking down how different circuits work and stuff like that. [00:08:52] And he put out video called pick Lock electronic. And he put out a video called can I pick an RFID lock electronically from a distance? And he says, in this video, I will try to pick an RFID lock electronically, will I succeed or fail? We will find out along the way, we will learn tons about 125 kilohertz RFID locking systems and how secure they are reading and writing to RFID tags will of course be part of that. [00:09:22] So let's get. And he does a great job of breaking down, just exactly how the RFID tags work, how the signal is detected and just great stuff. So I recommend learning how it works, even if you don't plan on actually doing anything with it. It's always good to know what the technology is and how it works. [00:09:44] On the product front a quick reminder, I think I covered this a couple episodes ago, but the impressioning handles designed by rubber band will be available again soon. And you should be able to find those one. They are available@hogankeys.com. He does have the listing up at the moment, but it says a thousand dollars, which is just a placeholder because they're not in stock yet. [00:10:05] Kind of the same thing sparrows did with the distant Taner pick where they put a million dollar. So keep an eye out on his Twitter or Instagram and, uh, should be posting when they do become available. And a reminder on the meetups front up at besides Seattle 2022 on May 14th, they will have a lock picking village. [00:10:30] So if you are planning on attending besides Seattle 2022, be sure to stop in and say hi, or maybe. If you're in the area, maybe you could volunteer to help them out. Anyway, if anybody is planning on going, uh, let me know. I won't be able to make it, obviously because of my work schedule and it's a ways away, but I'd be interested to know if anybody has headed up there. [00:10:59] and we have one new red belt to announce on the Lock Pickers, United belt system, 2 0 6. Has earned a red belt this week. So congratulations to 2 0 6 on your brand new shiny red belt. Okay. It's time to take a quick break and say thank you to the people that made this episode possible. We had a one-time donation of $10 via PayPal from this week's executive producer. [00:11:28] And didn't leave a note to say whether they wanted to be anonymous or not. So just. I've gone back and forth on how to handle this. And I'm just going to, if you don't leave a note, I'm going to assume it's okay to share your first name. If you want to be anonymous, let me know. In a note attached to the donation, PayPal allows you to do that. [00:11:48] So with that, the producers for this episode, Our crim and the Patrion subscribers we have. Panda-Frog Michael Gillcrest Starrylock William's brain Dave, to be deciphered Liibans Locksports Journey, pat from uncensored tactical three records and a coach REL, AKA Anthony, Dr. Hog master Clayton Howard AK cool tune. If you want to share it on the show, make sure that it is reasonable length, polite work, family, safe, not political and not just drama. So my regular search came up with a story here that just baffles me. This is out of China. It says a locksmith rescues child from hot car. As parents refuse fireman to break windows, it says a girl trapped in a car. [00:14:01] Could only be rescued by firefighters after a locksmith unpicked, The Lock as the girl's parents refuse to break the car windows, firefighters received a report and arrived on the scene, but the child's mother refused to let firefighters break the window and insisted on waiting for a locksmith due to the hot weather. [00:14:17] The temperature inside the car was very high and the child was at risk of heat. The firefighters had to cover the car with fireproof clothing, to block out the sun and use thermal sensors to measure the temperature inside the car. The locksmith eventually arrived and opened the car door to rescue the girl. [00:14:33] So I don't know what the laws are like in China, but this seems ridiculous to me. No, no window is worth your child's life. I know what the laws are like in my area, and I know I could get away with it, but even if. I would risk the lawsuit. If I see a baby locked in a car on a hot day and somebody's waiting for a locksmith, unless that locksmith is right around the corner, I'd probably risk the lawsuit and breaking the window. [00:15:06] I'm sorry. That's just ridiculous. All right. Off my high horse here on the sales, we have bare bones.
