Oh, yeah, of course. Tell a friend because the shits getting good. I think that's it. Let's do this thing. And also keeping Guys Guys Guys, this game this game had it all starts it starts with a lineup. That's the only way you can start a game recap. So I'm going to start it out with a couple of gloves because you know what? There were two gloves actually to hand out with the the origin of the two gloves joke is having two games in a camp and who gets and splitting the gloves? In this case? Indeed. Both gloves go to Zack Steffen. Get in there. We need some continuity. And then we're gonna have Matt miazga and Tim ream looking like Diego for lawn out there with his long hair loving it. Love it guy. I was watching the UFC calm. Ty Fujimura 6:28 I didn't I didn't think of it. Clayton Fujimura 6:31 Like he that's a great luck for you. Tim ream wave. I like your way more. I would like to way more this whole time if you had the long hair. We're gonna have on the right. Let's go bring it back to Gold Cup. Reggie. Cannon cannon Ty Fujimura 6:48 right back. Reggie kidded. Clayton Fujimura 6:52 We've got Of course left back Sir geniale deste horse you know I'm you're Unknown Speaker 6:58 on the team sheet. Clayton Fujimura 6:59 Hopefully she's just Alona destino. Unknown Speaker 7:04 So just Clayton Fujimura 7:06 get in buddy. My guy Sergio Gaucho out there. Let's get lit right now we're gonna have continuity again in the centre of midfield Tyler Adams. Weston mckennie. And Eunice know him Eunice love them. Eunice Moosa Come on now left winger we've got I think she ran on the left might have been Yes, yeah. Uli on the right there okay. And of course an actual number nine fantastic congrats to you. Welcome on in Nicholas. geo Aki, nee once again. syllable name. Five syllable name. Not sure we got it all not sure. Folks. This game was a little slow in the first seven minutes when I say I had it had it all. It also had some boredom Not gonna lie first first seven to 10 a little slow too slow to start Unknown Speaker 7:59 like Lord of the Rings trilogy. Clayton Fujimura 8:03 It's a masterpiece. It's like no it's not not a masterpiece without some some some silence in there a little bit of silence right the first 10 minutes and then we needed we needed a little bit of a shot to the gut and we got it from what's his face? Oh, for Harto, ninth minute goal of his life we should boy really emotional moment for him genuinely. just seemed crazy. I mean, that's exactly what I would do. I can't blame him. Oh, absolutely. Absolutely scored in sangwan in for the nation. Are you kidding me? I'm I'm Unknown Speaker 8:48 broken up about my childhood dream is to score in an empty stadium and noise shot. Clayton Fujimura 8:53 That's what was so crazy to me was there's such like, low emotion coming into this game and he scores and it just really it really looked like the moment of his life. So I am Congrats, dude. You deserve it. Congrats. Beautiful. So the US woke up after that. And we got a nice little turnover from Weston mckennie which turned into a Eunice Moosa dribs dribs dribs on dribs earned a free kick which Gio Reyna sauce sauce Ty Fujimura 9:21 magic sauce. Clayton Fujimura 9:22 Welcome. Oh history Giovanni Reyna Giovanni Giovanni. Rain or sheoak sorry, what's that guy's Here we go. He's in there on his way to the Mount Rushmore of us. mmt players, Gio, Reyna did the thing. 18th minute prepare the chisel, chisel and then it's not the fastest hat trick of all time. It's but it's the fastest sequence Just kidding. That's it. That's a that's a call. Joe KEANEY gets a goal off of a series three goals but what am i Not the fastest three goals. Julie was a corner kick, which ultimately, oh no, it wasn't this was this was a uliana shot and I saw Liana shot that he should get the SS for this. I hate that that players don't get the assist when the Save happens Ty Fujimura 10:15 right right. Clayton Fujimura 10:16 But cikini Gio cany slots this one home right place right time. That's all we need. That's all we need, Unknown Speaker 10:22 or the keeper should get an own assist. Clayton Fujimura 10:26 minus one. Unknown Speaker 10:27 Wait, why did why does that not exist? Why does Why is that not a stat when you cough it up when they hit it? Clayton Fujimura 10:35 First time? Well, I mean, yeah, x g seems a lot harder to calculate than that. That was a known assist, okay, and assist. So g like learning we're making it happen. It's Ty Fujimura 10:44 a thing now, everybody, Clayton Fujimura 10:45 and then just a few minutes later, just a few minutes later, it was a corner kick, which kind of bounced around Matt miazga. So what happened was the corner kick bounces around, it comes back out to Tyler Adams who's sort of sweeping you know, and Weston mckennie go shower reaching out to the left, they make eye contact. And in that moment, they're their souls connect their brain synapses align. And Tyler is speaking of weird statistics guy collects a few more packing stats for his collection and slots Western and Western chips. This one over Matt miazga because it's a corner his way up there knocks it back in geo Kini once again, right place right time, my guy, my guy. So we'd be three one going into halftime. And after that it was you know, the rest of that half was a pretty solid us showing but no more goals halftime comes along, okay. And this young team these baby NATS got CONCACAF for the first time in some of their lives. They got to see what conca caffeine really means. And I was so proud of Panama for bringing it honest and I genuinely mean that for bringing it all the way to Europe and CONCACAF in our young boys as they should. Unknown Speaker 12:02 And as you can take the team out of CONCACAF you can't take Clayton Fujimura 12:06 you cannot it was found it was frustrating. It was terrifying to see Tyler Adams in there the injury prone. It was there was emotions flying around, there was yellow cards. This ref at one point threatened a yellow card. Ty Fujimura 12:21 It's like I'll do it. I'll do it. Clayton Fujimura 12:26 Solid. I've met in my life amazing rap skills because he's like, I don't want to give a red card in this. Like it's Unknown Speaker 12:35 like me with my kids. You know? Like, Ty Fujimura 12:37 I'll do it. Unknown Speaker 12:39 I like pick up the box of Legos. I will take this box of Legos. Clayton Fujimura 12:44 But you're never gonna take them by Legos. The kids are too cute. And that's true for his team too. And then in true konka cat fashion three one turn to 2314 Harto, gets another goal offsides might be might have been awesome, but give it to them and this is what happens okay, into the to the usmt. Time and time again. We have a lead a good lead. And then we get CONCACAF and then somehow this turns into a draw or a loss. That's the script. But what would occur in the final 10 minutes of this game is a rewriting of history and a brand new destiny for our future folks. Subash many subs many subs. Let me just list them super quick many, many bastions on Sebastian's on Tim's on the field with Tim, it's all the Tim's and all the Sebastian's We out here. Let's do this thing. Now. Who was it so it was Chris Richards comes in. Oh my god, amazing. Johnny Cardoso for Tyler Adams. Thank God protect that man. Sebastian legit for Eunice Moosa also protect that man respect his club. Richie Ledesma. Boy comes in for Gio Reyna and Sebastian Soto and Tim lay at saw the field and it really was getting beat up as hell. So I was happy to see that as well. And then there were three incredible goals for all different reasons. It was two incredible assists from Richie Ledesma, just laser beams it was two guys on the spot dayenu it was a joke on the spot finishes from Sebastian Soto there's something about this dude in the US Jersey where he just goes he doesn't look that good but he scores man he can score he's got it in and and i'm smaller he's not he's not good at dribbling the glasses everywhere all day glasses It was one of them was a total as what's his face set an optical illusion somehow squeaks in didn't even look like it especially with the note celebrations. And and and not to mention that Sebastian legit got one as well assist from Reggie cannon shots, two shots to the base God Reggie cannon. So this one would end six to two could have gone way different but it went the way it did. It felt pretty good tie. What were your first impressions. Unknown Speaker 15:05 So we got to see a performance against Wales, where the US had all of the play control of the match was moving the ball with speed and precision, but wasn't able to convert that to an end product. And we wondered what would happen to this system if you actually had a real number nine playing from the start. And we got to see what happens, which was very productive. So it was really encouraging to see the, the two different flurries of offense that we saw, were the strong possession game, the US was converted well, by both Joe Kenny and Soto into production. And so that's really what I was hoping to see going into this was just a, an explosion of, you know, offense against, you know, fairly weak team, in a circumstance where they're not going to be playing their best. They're not well drilled, they're not organized, it's going to be a much much different story when the US goes to Panama potentially in a world qualifier that is not going to be a defense that looks this shaky, so I wouldn't, you know, get our hopes up too much about that. But there were obviously some issues, there was some some defensive lapses here and there some issues playing to the whistle on the second goal where the entire US Defense was standing around hoping for offside. And so I think, you know, clearly some things to work on. It's a it's a rough draft, it's a friendly but it was a good stepping stone I think on the way to something really positive that that we're building and it's clear that this team is starting to come together there's something here and it's really exciting to see how it develops. Oh baby Clayton Fujimura 17:07 it is I think I did have a slightly different read of this. I didn't think that the US had a strong possession in this game that was really long stretches true. Unknown Speaker 17:15 Yeah, they did. It was streaky. It was Clayton Fujimura 17:18 freaky, less consistent. Yeah. And and I think Matt miazga unfortunately, I love him, but but he was at fault for a lot of that he just lacks confidence. I don't know what the deal is man. Red Bulls. miazga. ISRO Red Bulls miazga was like would have been right in this group. You know what I mean? But I don't know man. Unknown Speaker 17:37 I don't know what's going on with this guy. I would have liked to see more more Chris Richards. Clayton Fujimura 17:41 That was me too. Me too. He looks good for the minutes that we got to enjoy. Yeah, it looks amazing actually, in fact, launched one of those goals. The goal that was just like the longest spell I forget which Soto goal it was. I think it was the optical illusion but one of them was basically started by Chris Richard mystical the mistake. The the gold diggers goal. Jedi mind trick. Chris Richards launches the attack by dribbling by dribbling around one of the strikers on just about looking like their interest Richards it's very rare and it's not something we're seeing from any any of our center backs. Very exciting. And that launched a fascinating and bizarre spell of possession which included by the way someone should maybe McKenney shot that was blocked by Sebastian legette if you recall accidentally blocked was going in weird don't remember guys Pete the highlights or something go go. Unknown Speaker 18:47 pullbacks again it scan is Frame By Frame like the Superdome. But Clayton Fujimura 18:51 then it was like a it was Richie Ledesma and Tim laya like, like, yeah, breaking ankles bending these ballerina moves for for an impossibly long amount of time just doing circles around these like outmatched defenders. And it led to a goal so I said that whole thing because that those were the most important moments to me that there were these the I didn't think that possession was that good. But there were these really incredible moments from this team that showed goals the likes of which we've never seen, they were to set peace goals here. They were two goals from the run of play. And there were two goals from gaghan pressing. This is a dip this is a new US totally new Unknown Speaker 19:32 analysis. Clayton Fujimura 19:35 And the other thing that's new about this was what I mentioned in the recap is that the script was flipped yes they are they're way overqualified for this for this game, our our US mmt however, to get CONCACAF and then to fight back, not through a weird set piece and basically reverse reverse conca caffeine by trying hard, but by elegantly Like weaseling your way around and doing these, like fancy fancy things? is a new usmt It's a new look. usmt to be, Unknown Speaker 20:09 Yes, perfect. So yeah, I want to talk about this the, what's the response to the konka cafe? Well, why don't we Why don't we back up into and talk about the coffee, caffeine. So what is happening when, when the US plays in particularly qualifying, but also the Gold Cup, and we're playing these, you know, mid tier, Central American nations, we tend to play kind of down to the level of the opponent. And that's I don't mean that in like an insulting way, I just mean that typically, you know, the club situations of the US players like us players are generally considered better, more talented players, but they look pretty much the same, if not much worse, when we play a lot of these, these countries, in particular on the road. And a big part of why that is, is that the CONCACAF countries are much more willing to play the mental game, play the physical game, play a little bit dirty at times, do things while the refs not looking. Presumably, make comments and and dig and dig and elbow in on a corner. And the US has has frequently been a little too, too nice and too soft to, to sporting, in a way in some of these moments. And this is a a it's a it's a particular challenge for this generation. Because this generations not growing up, you know much in the US This is generations really growing up and developing in Europe where you have good referees and you have good fields and there's there's it's not as chippies, not as as rough. So it's a fear that that this generation as talented as it is, was going to go down to, you know, San Pedro Sula, and, and be horrible, because they just can't handle that kind of extra aspects of the game, even even outside of the game, the experience of landing in an airport, and coming out of the airport and getting like shit thrown at you. And then going, Yeah, I'm not talking about music outside the hotel. Clayton Fujimura 22:18 Yeah, we're not talking about having like random trash or objects. We're talking about, Oh, yes. Unknown Speaker 22:25 No, you know, it's and that that's an extreme example, but like, these kind of things happen. And they, when they're in the bus on the way to the stadium, that's not a pleasant experience. I mean, I'm sure if it feels like, you're in a warzone, almost. And, you know, that's, that's real, that that really will, will affect you. So, that's a big concern to me about this generation. And it's something that, that we need to see how they address. But one one thing that, you know, what you mentioned, kind of triggers for me is like, we can always run faster, right? Like even even when the field is is bumpy, you know, maybe it's a little harder to play the ball. Precisely. But our movement, our aggression or mindset can still be the same, right? And we can still kind of run shadows and have that speed of thought going around the game that that should just leave these others these teams like, you know, on their backs, right? Yeah. Clayton Fujimura 23:27 Yeah, we can and it's difficult. It has to come from both places. There's no amount of elegance on the field that can negate conquer caffeine, like it's an effective tactic and it's worked it doesn't just we call it conquer coughing because of where we're from but it works all around the world and and teams do this and it works it really works. So at the end of the day there It has there the Yes, you can have you know, you can make the right runs you can open up space, which I thought the US did, I didn't you know i thought it wasn't just having a real quote unquote number nine it was that that but but it was also the wingers making a lot of a lot more overlapping runs, you know, it was, it was generally more more dynamic, it was less checking to the ball. And that stuff is gonna work that's important. And like you said, speed is speed and of story. But you have to have a certain swag to you. You have to have a certain grit to win and I think the US has managed to win with inelegant grip in the past which I respect. I have loved the Alexi Lalas school of thought and and it's has been great and I'm a US fan no matter what. But this version of grip is way cooler, I think. Well, Unknown Speaker 24:48 the way I'm kind of looking at it is like in the past we've tried to to out CONCACAF, the CONCACAF opponents Yeah, in that we've tried to get chippy or get more aggressive. Yeah nastier, you know, as you're gonna use was was upon saying, like, you know, throw the first elbow don't don't let them bully you. You believe that, you know, send Jermaine Jones out there to knock people on the ground. Yeah. And that's, that's, that's the thing. I like that. But I'm thinking how, how much better Could it be if we go? Actually, no, we're just gonna do our thing even better, and you can answer it. So it's like, yeah, you can, you can knock us on the ground, but we're gonna get up and we're gonna keep doing our thing. And you're gonna do it until we score three, four or five goals. And it's like that that's that's a really unique approach to solving this problem is I don't know if Gio Reyna is necessarily going to, you know, wake up and be able to, like, roll with Roman Torres. You know, that's not really, I don't know, if that's really the right approach for this generation. It's more that this generation maybe needs to have Yeah, like you said, like, the swag of their, their skill, like, you know, being super confident who they are, embracing who they are, and just out outperforming out thinking the opponent instead of you know, going to that level of, of the, you know, Chip Enos. Clayton Fujimura 26:11 Mm hmm. So, who's someone in this game, they had everything? had everything. Who's someone in this game? Who surprised you from the NATS? We got to see a lot of fresh faces. A lot of baby a lot of vet, not very little shaving occurring? Who Yeah, who gave you Who gave you a little bit of a showed you something you maybe didn't think you'd see? Unknown Speaker 26:33 I don't know. I think this game, I feel like most of what we saw was what I was hoping to see or was expecting. But I think from the camp overall, the biggest surprise to me is Moosa. Yeah. Where he comes in and looks like a starter. I mean, we thought we thought that he was kind of coming in as like, one of a group, like along with pianos and way as like the, you know, potential exciting attackers. But he has something really special he's got his his speed of thought is amazing. His technique is amazing. His work rate is great. He pops up all over the field, you see him almost like splitting the center backs at times in this game playing kind of like a, I guess, like an eat. But it was like, it was sort of like he and Western were both playing the eight maybe. So they were they were kind of pivoting with Tyler behind them. But Moosa would like drop the get the ball burst into midfield find a pass. He he has a lot of tools. And he seems like he fits in really well with what for halters trying to do. So I think we really uncovered a gym with him. And it's a it's a credit to the coaching staff, because it's the kind of player that you know, I think most even hardcore fans really didn't understand the US connection or hadn't considered that it might be a possibility that he would play for us. And I think, based on this camp, and what he showed, we'd definitely be in. So now the question is just how did he feel? How good was the experience he had, and you think that like being in a group like this with so many young, talented players who are playing at a really high level, like, you know, even higher than where he's at, that has to rub off. And you know, just just being in a team with guys from Meijer and event is Barcelona, you know, even Blizzard not being here at Chelsea. I think I think that that matters. If I was him. I would I would really think the US has a strong candidate ahead of us other options, Clayton Fujimura 28:41 you know, yeah. You mentioned you mentioned England, last app, and I had maybe overlooked England's talent or they're, you know, pretty exciting over there. But, and I don't know how their recent games have gone. I think they didn't go well. recently lost. They surprisingly lost recently. But anyways, it's a tough choice. Can you remind the Peeps how it works? Does he is he a one time switch situation? Or is he can he die on the round? Do friendlies everywhere? Unknown Speaker 29:10 I forget to be honest, what the what the scenario is the one time switch? Actually, I think it's it's the friendlies? No, that's I forget, sometimes sometimes you need to switch. I haven't heard that in his case. So I think he's a shop around kind of guy. Okay, where he would not need to switch to appear for in front. It Clayton Fujimura 29:32 might be Is it a union competitive match? Unknown Speaker 29:35 No. Yeah, that sounds about right. Something like that. But I haven't heard that in his case. But I think it's, you know, maybe maybe he'll shop around maybe he'll maybe he'll go to England or something like that. But the thing is with the other teams like we're getting into the time of the year where it'll be probably mostly competitive matches from here just because of the backlog of all the Yeah, schedule. So he goes to England, he'll be going for a competitive match. So it's like yeah, it's, it's probably it's probably time to make a choice. And he's he's breaking through in La Liga. It looks like he's gonna be a solid, you know, squad player at his club this year, so it'll, you know, it'll be a choice. Clayton Fujimura 30:16 Yeah. And to piggyback on your surprise with him, I was, it's, I was surprised to see what I can perceive to be genuine investment in the result of these games. You know, like, he, the way he was playing doesn't look like someone who doesn't care about the crest or who doesn't care, you know? Ty Fujimura 30:39 No, no, not at all. Clayton Fujimura 30:41 And I can't read the man's mind that it's very difficult for me to decipher what his boy, the boys children's minds. child's like colleges. You know, when you see Serginho desk at fifth minutes, streaking down the left side, getting is getting fouled and fouled again, and coming back and coming back and coming back again. You know, this dude's a fucking nap. You know what I mean? Like, I don't care how it came about. This dude is a nap. And, you know, I'm getting some of those same vibes from Eunice Moosa. By the way, another major factor for these kids to or who maybe have a couple choices, maybe a bigger factor than then you and I realize is the World Cup in America. 2026, if you're 17 right now, 17 to 21 point, and you have the opportunity to peek an enormous World Cup at the home country in the hole as part of the home nation. And it's America. It's not Qatar. I mean, that's a pretty sweet, that's desk on record as saying that that was part of his decision. Unknown Speaker 31:48 Right? Well, yeah, I mean, cuz you're talking global superstar potential. Yeah. Like the, like, you know, in a theoretical world where the US does, well, that World Cup, whoever the best player is, is going to be instantly a top us celebrity. Just, this is just the nature of how the US works with, with soccer. It's like, it's like the Olympics. You know, nobody, nobody gives a shit about swimming. But Michael Phelps comes up big, you know? Every four years Clayton Fujimura 32:23 yeah, hanging out with LeBron. Unknown Speaker 32:24 He's a guy. Yeah, yeah, exactly. You Clayton Fujimura 32:27 know, you don't you don't go too early. Yeah, you don't literally you don't crash out in the quarters with England, and then hang out with LeBron. It's not that's not how this works. So So, you know, here's, here's the hope and I hope that I hope that guy sticks with us, folks, it's it's getting late here on the east coast. So we're we're we're gonna wrap it up kind of soonish. But Ty, what do you want to leave the people with it's going to be some time we think there's going to be a December camp. I actually let me go first. And you think about what you want to leave the people with there there's we think there's going to be a December camp. We don't know we think there's going to be you know, competitive games next year. But we don't know. So soak this in. Watch it again. If you can reach out to us on Twitter at WTF pod. hang out with us talk about it, soak it in. It was a really really special moment. I think for a lot of these guys and could potentially be a special moment in usmt history looking back you know, when you think about like, if you could watch a game, you know, we don't know what's gonna happen with this team or these guys. But what if you could watch a game with with Claudio Reyna Landon Donovan and damarcus Beasley, and let's say let's throw in their Ramos and tab Ramos. What if you could watch a game with all of them? And three of them getting their first cat? Unknown Speaker 33:52 You know what I mean? That would be might have been what you just saw? Clayton Fujimura 33:55 Yeah, it could have been it could have been we don't know. We'll see. Unknown Speaker 33:58 But it could have been four legends, you know, on the field. And then one of the moment we don't know Clayton Fujimura 34:04 we don't know that's and that's one of the most enjoyable parts about this is we don't know Tim waya looks pretty good again, suddenly. You know what I mean? Who knows? Maybe he's the guy all of a sudden Western McKenney between Tyler Adams and pulisic is looks like the captain of the future captain of this team this camp. You know what I mean? We never could have guessed that. So just just buckle in. Watch this. Watch. Watch this team grow. It's gonna be exciting. The moment I wanted to leave us with is I don't know if you caught this on YouTube but US Soccer is posting full length press conference interviews immediately after they occur. Thank you US Soccer. We really appreciate that. It means a lot to the to the viewing public that you are investing in your YouTube channel. Richie Ledesma is first of all, Reggie cannons interview some of these are must watch TV. Skip Zack Stephens can't. He's the Man is as boring as a sack of bricks. Skip it. Unknown Speaker 35:03 Love that guy. Clayton Fujimura 35:04 But skip interview. Reggie cannon is he is an absolute blessing this man is he's the he's the new. What's his face? He's the new failed LA Galaxy striker chicharito He's the new teach. He's the new Cheech. Unknown Speaker 35:20 He's the new chicharito. So Clayton Fujimura 35:22 and when it comes to media, this man is ready. He's ready. One of the one of the reporters was like, you know, just by sort of reflexively said the words. Thank you at the end of his question. Thank you for thank you for your time. And Reggie goes, you know, you know what, man, it's no problem. I love doing these. I love doing these. You've read? He says we learn Reggie. He's an incredibly sweet person, I'm coming to realize and I you know, so so that was enjoyable that my must watch is Richie le Desmos interview. In the past month, Richie Ledesma has started for his team in Europe. He's now gotten a call up and he's in this interview on his way to get his first cap and his first two assists for the national team. And the whole thing is incredible just to see one to see how genuinely he answers the questions he's not yet media trained. So he was talking about he was saying things that you never hear from players for instance that they were like does it make you feel more comfortable that a lot of that under 20 team is here with you? And he's like yeah, definitely like we all pass to each other in training Ty Fujimura 36:29 good Regina does Clayton Fujimura 36:33 amazing they when they never talk about those soccer player politics, stuff like that, right dropped a couple gems but the moment at the end of that interview, when asked what this means to him and his family is incredible. And he's he's on the verge of tears. just explaining I we had an I cannot believe that this is happening. And I'm just trying to seize the moment. And it's so beautiful Unknown Speaker 36:56 dance or beautiful. The queuing that up tonight? Ah, yeah, this was this was great. It was it was nuts. We waited for so long. You know, I I'm I'm desperately hoping that nobody gets sick. And it is it was kind of a bad time ultimately, in this pandemic timeline to be to be doing something like this, but I just hope it works out and then everybody's fine. And we got to enjoy our team again. It's a blessing and something that just brightens my my quarantine but and the thing one one thing that struck me in this game that like is almost you know, always the case with the national team. But just it was really pointed to me in this game was the the diversity of the team in terms of background, life experience. And they mentioned the Panama coach. I forgot his name Christiansen, I think who is Danish is they said he's Danish, he played for the for Spain. And he was the top scorer in the Bundesliga a one year and now he manages Panama. And I was like what a game this is that connects all these people from all these different places who had all these different incredible, you know, periods of time in different places. And I think that US team completely exemplifies that in the way that the US always does. You got a Chilean Americans, Mexican Americans. You have Polish Americans you have whatever Gio is at this point grows up in England, you know, mixed mixed heritage like you have the children of of servicemen, you have you know people who are maybe fringe, you know, like Eunice Moosa is his mom was in New York on vacation, he's playing for the US national team. It's like, the the range of has to this team is it's so beautiful to me and so special that like all these different cultures, contribute to something that we can all enjoy. And I think, you know, obviously, especially at a very heated time in American history, it's just awesome to have something that has us on it. You know, they have all this garb now that just says states I'm a big fan. I like this states. Clayton Fujimura 39:35 Well, it's dude because if you go anywhere other than America that you know what they call this place, the state the Unknown Speaker 39:41 states. That's right. That's right. And it's it's just, you know, it helps you to be to feel proud of America in a very uncomplicated way and to see an example of how America was constructed. Like all these different people from all these different walks of life coming together to do something special, like the team truly exemplifies that. And I it just struck me watching this game all these kids coming together from all over and trying to make something great together and they're they're doing a good job so far, and I'm very proud. And I think nothing exemplifies the spirit of diversity on the US men's national team like mckenny doing the Italian hand gesture. Oh, Clayton Fujimura 40:28 yeah. It's like he's in. He's in Italy for 30 minutes. I remember being that way. When I was 12. When we went to Venice Ty Fujimura 40:41 on vacation. Clayton Fujimura 40:45 That's that's what happens to children. As we become adults, we lose the ability to soak it in in that Unknown Speaker 40:53 moment, the Simpsons, pasta pizza chef guy. Clayton Fujimura 40:59 Yeah, right, exactly. The guy with a thick Italian accent, and it's like, it's like D school Italian. And he doesn't. He's just that's just he just says, Yeah, he Ty Fujimura 41:09 says something. I don't know, if I could, I don't know if I want to do it. Clayton Fujimura 41:13 I think we'll take that risk over here, but it was, it was so fun. You're right. Right, that that not only is it you know, people from all around the world coming to be come American, which is beautiful. But it's also Americans going to become world citizens. Right, which is equally as beautiful. Right. Equally as important, and but Unknown Speaker 41:36 bringing an Americanness to, to other places that that's good, you know, we we believe that Americanness isn't should be a positive, and that we should go into other places, and actually contribute to making them better. You know, and I know that the history of our country includes lots of examples of, you know, both sides of that particular coin. But it's something that that I believe in, and it's it's very inspirational, to see our country progressing in that manner. And they all they all represented America very well, at this complicated and difficult time. So I'm grateful that they that they that they did it and that they, you know, it to some extent, put some risk, accepted some risk in order to represent the country as well. Clayton Fujimura 42:31 Well, folks, couldn't leave you on anything better than that tie. It's a pleasure. It's a joy and a pleasure to be privy to the way you think it's amazing. Hey, listen, I don't usually do this, but I thought of the eye likes before this episode. I am before we record, usually I stand here and stutter for 30 minutes and then edit it out. I like buttons. Okay. You can put them on. I like buttons. You put them on your clothing. They fall off. You get another one. And you put that on your clothing. You know what I mean? blooms are amazing. Problem solved. You know what else I Ty Fujimura 43:06 like? buttons, as in Oh, fuck, I forgot it. God damn it. Computer. Clayton Fujimura 43:16 Yes, computer buttons, all kinds of buttons, buttons. You can press buttons. You can do things with buttons on remote controls, buttons all over the place. And you know what else I like tie. buttons, as in automatic dramatic buttons as in what Kramer does just before he leaves stage. One more. And then it goes off stage. That's called a button folks. I like buttons. Unknown Speaker 43:42 mushrooms. Clayton Fujimura 43:43 It's so dumb that that I thought of that and was like I gotta use that fucking dumb that's fine life. But I don't love any of that shit. As much as I Unknown Speaker 43:53 LOVE Clayton Fujimura 43:54 LOVE, LOVE LOVE THE NATS let's go boys. Unknown Speaker 44:07 Between a Laura beat Clayton Fujimura 44:15 my spicy meatball Ty Fujimura 44:19 guy guys, the guy goes I don't speak English. I speak Italian Unknown Speaker 44:25 I speak a broken English. Unknown Speaker 44:31 Alright, right. I'm stuffing this phone in. Why did you think of that Ty Fujimura 44:35 stupid joke.
