Daniel [GM] (00:00:30): Welcome to Explorers Wanted. We are a weekly Numenera Actual Play podcast. Although this week, we are a We Are All Mad Here podcast. I will be your humble GM, Daniel Andrlik. With me today is Sampson Davis. Sampson [Whitburn] (00:00:47): Yarr. Hey, what's up? Daniel [GM] (00:00:48): Marietta Jones. Marietta [Agrippina] (00:00:50): I am woefully unprepared for this, but also very excited because I think this is my first not-Numenera Cypher game. Daniel [GM] (00:00:58): Oh, okay. Marietta [Agrippina] (00:00:59): Yeah. Daniel [GM] (00:01:00): Alex Finn. Alex [Ivy] (00:01:05): I got the [toe beans 00:01:05]. Ahh. Daniel [GM] (00:01:05): And Stace Babcock. Stace [Ser Percy] (00:01:06): Yeah. In case I wasn't clear, the fact that this is Marietta's first non-Numenera Cypher game means that she has missed every single one-shot that I have ran, both recorded and non-recorded. Alex [Ivy] (00:01:18): Burn. Marietta [Agrippina] (00:01:20): I've definitely played in one of your games before, so don't even try it. Stace [Ser Percy] (00:01:26): Not one of my Cypher games. Marietta [Agrippina] (00:01:27): Okay. Well, I guess we better remedy that, one day, maybe. Daniel [GM] (00:01:32): Who knows, maybe our next recording session in two weeks. Stace [Ser Percy] (00:01:36): Yeah. Maybe Thursday after next. Marietta [Agrippina] (00:01:40): I am really jealous that you guys did... Did you do Stars Are Fire? Alex [Ivy] (00:01:43): Mm-hmm (affirmative). Stace [Ser Percy] (00:01:44): Hell yeah. And that's what we're doing again... I mean, if everyone wants to, that's what we're doing again. Alex [Ivy] (00:01:48): I mean, what? Marietta [Agrippina] (00:01:50): I've also still not done Invisible Sun and I'm extremely jealous of all of you who got to do that. Stace [Ser Percy] (00:01:55): Who got to do that? Daniel [GM] (00:01:55): It's only one of you. Sampson [Whitburn] (00:01:55): I did. Alex [Ivy] (00:01:57): Yeah, just Sampson. Sampson [Whitburn] (00:01:59): That was like two years ago, a year ago? Marietta [Agrippina] (00:02:01): We have big dreams people, which brings us to Patreon actually, because we have big dreams. Daniel [GM] (00:02:09): Yes. Before we get started, we do have an important Patreon item of business. And that is that we have a new patron. Sean D as started backing us. Sean D is a great guy. He's in our Discord. Although he tends to lurk, he's a little quiet, but he also left us a lovely review on Apple Podcasts that we read earlier. And Sean D, thank you so much for your support. It means the world to us. Marietta [Agrippina] (00:02:34): Really, though. Daniel [GM] (00:02:35): For supporting us in the midst of all of our bullshit. Marietta [Agrippina] (00:02:39): Also in the midst of a pandemic. I know we don't bring that up all the time, but... Daniel [GM] (00:02:42): Yes, absolutely. Marietta [Agrippina] (00:02:42): PSA. In case we... Stace [Ser Percy] (00:02:47): No, yeah. Really appreciate it. It's pretty cool. Sampson might not have to have a squeaky chair too much longer. Sampson [Whitburn] (00:02:55): One day. Daniel [GM] (00:02:56): Yeah. We're getting there. Hopefully. Alex [Ivy] (00:02:58): One day. Stace [Ser Percy] (00:02:59): One day. Daniel [GM] (00:02:59): So this week we're doing something a little different. Normally we played Numenera, but we just finished season one of our Numenera campaign. And while we get ready for season two, with all the planning that that involves, we are playing a few other things in the meantime. And we're very excited tonight to be playing We Are All Mad Here. This is the Cypher System, sort of fairy tale setting. It's got basically every fairy tale, or similar to a fairy tale thing, that you've ever thought of, is all kind of mashed together into this one setting. This game is really interesting because in addition to being a fairy tale setting, it also deals with themes of mental illness through the metaphor of fairytales. A lot of fairytales actually deal with mental illness in some way, shape, or form. Times it's just coded. Daniel [GM] (00:03:51): So we will put a tiny content warning upfront. We don't tend to do anything that's going to be too heavy or disrespectful or anything like that. But we did want to put out a content warning, because themes of mental illness, even if they are not explicitly stated, are very much front and center in We Are All Mad Here. So just want to put that out in advance. And I'll also say, if you or a loved one is struggling with mental illness, there are resources available. So seek them out. Daniel [GM] (00:04:22): Anyway, to get started with our adventure, this all takes place in the Heartwood, which is a place where people from our world, due to either having a mental illness of their own or having been touched by a mental illness... So if somebody they know or something like that, have found themselves being able to be pulled into the Heartwood, this realm, and take on roles in it. Sometimes it's temporary. Sometimes it's permanent. So, we're going to go around the room here, the virtual room anyway, and have everybody introduce their characters. We're going to start with Alex. Daniel [GM] (00:04:55): So Alex, tell us your character's name and their character sentence. And then you're free to add additional details if you want. But that's the basics that we need. Alex [Ivy] (00:05:04): So I've spur of the moment decided that her full name is Ivengard, But she goes by Ivy. Because I'm just like, I feel like... Marietta [Agrippina] (00:05:13): Now I feel like I have to fall in love with you. Alex [Ivy] (00:05:17): It needs to be like an epic name. And Ivy is a changeling princess who sheds her skin. So... Marietta [Agrippina] (00:05:26): Okay, maybe not the Ivy I was envisioning. Alex [Ivy] (00:05:30): Yeah, following in the shoes of Poison Ivy, then it just... Stace [Ser Percy] (00:05:33): Oh yeah, poison Ivy. Alex [Ivy] (00:05:35): Yeah. Then it would be a much different, different campaigns. Marietta [Agrippina] (00:05:39): Let me know for our next step, slide into my DMs, you know? Alex [Ivy] (00:05:46): No, so the descriptor sheds their skin. You get to be like were-animal, or the focused sheds her skin, you get to be a were-animal? So I was like, you know what I want to be? A were-possum? Stace [Ser Percy] (00:06:00): Oh, hell yeah. Alex [Ivy] (00:06:01): So... Daniel [GM] (00:06:02): Yeah, that's on brand. So on brand. Stace [Ser Percy] (00:06:04): Oh, that's sick. Marietta [Agrippina] (00:06:05): Possums are so great. Alex [Ivy] (00:06:06): Yeah. There's Princess Ivy, the were-possum. And she's on a quest to cure the were-possumness, or make a new kingdom of were-possums. One or the other. Marietta [Agrippina] (00:06:19): I'm going to look for so many possum delicacies for you. Daniel [GM] (00:06:22): So ticks. Marietta [Agrippina] (00:06:25): Some east coast ticks. Daniel [GM] (00:06:28): Yeah. Okay, cool. Given that, I think we have to then have Stace introduce her character. Stace [Ser Percy] (00:06:36): Yeah. So my character is Sir Percy, a Frumious Royal Guard who curses the world. And she is on the shittiest detail of her life, following Princess Ivy around, doing whatever. So are we doing descriptions right now? Alex [Ivy] (00:06:54): If you want, I forgot what Ivy looks like, so... Stace [Ser Percy] (00:06:57): I'll let you think about that. So, Sir Percy, six feet, very blonde, and is dressed basically like a Vatican Swiss Guard. With the helmet, with the ostrich feathers. I think I'm going to make them orange. And then super striped tunic and pants in green and orange and yellow with a fancy Renaissance breastplate. Sampson [Whitburn] (00:07:23): Nice. Stace [Ser Percy] (00:07:23): The kind that has like the tummy that sticks out. You know? And has a big old halberd. Daniel [GM] (00:07:30): Okay. And Marietta. Marietta [Agrippina] (00:07:33): I'm participating in this actually, and I made a character that I thought out thoroughly. Her name is [Agrapina 00:07:44], and she is a bewitched fairy who lived with the faye. So she's an adept type, and does combat and spoopy stuff. Daniel [GM] (00:07:55): What a surprise. Marietta [Agrippina] (00:07:56): Yeah, so shocking. Uses a crossbow, and it's sentient. It's fine. She wasn't originally a fairy. She fell through a pond and wound up in some fairy land, and found the sentient crossbow and spontaneously manifested into a fairy-like creature, but retains pretty much human status, I presume. So I don't know. I think she has pretty much white silver hair and like purple eyes, and some permanent red eyeliner and some accent blue stripes. And yeah. I think her skin is really dark though. So it's like, the contrast is pretty heavy. Daniel [GM] (00:08:38): Okay. And Sampson. Sampson [Whitburn] (00:08:42): So I am playing John Anthony Whitburn, but most just call him Whitburn. Born in England in 1776, he was a navigator on the East India Trading Company ship called the [Corelet 00:08:56] and found himself in a storm that drowned almost all the crew except for him. And he made a deal with Davy Jones, my character sentence is a lost explorer who made a deal with Davy Jones, i.e. death. So Whitburn is an English sailor in his late sixties, about six foot tall and stocky, kind of like what if Santa was a crusty sailor? So he's balding a little bit. He's got a grayish brown beard. Daniel [GM] (00:09:30): Does he have the crunchy pants? Sampson [Whitburn] (00:09:32): Yes. Crunchy pants. Alex [Ivy] (00:09:35): Are we all supposed to seduce Whitburn, is what you're saying? He is the main love interest in our Doki Doki high school? Sampson [Whitburn] (00:09:41): If you want to, that's a thing that you could do. I don't know if Whitburn would be into that, but I'm not going to say no. Daniel [GM] (00:09:51): Okay, cool. Well, you guys have all been in the Heartwood in some way, shape, or form for awhile. So it's not a huge surprise to you all where you wake up and find yourself on the floor of a familiar cottage. The floor is carpeted in an enormous bearskin, but huge. Like, way too big. And you wake up on this bearskin next to a fire and a hearth. And that there is the smell of cookies baking here, chocolate chip cookies, to be specific. And you wake up in this place with a crackling fire, and you all know this, this is the heart of the Heartwood. Eventually everybody here comes back to this, this center of this strange land that you found yourselves in. And as you wake up and gather yourselves, you hear a voice coming from across the room. It's a very impatient focus. And it just simply says, "They're late. Late, late, late, late, late." And you look and see a white rabbit sitting at a table, checking his clock. Daniel [GM] (00:11:12): He says, "You should be more punctual. You're late. Late, late, late. Come, come." Sampson [Whitburn] (00:11:18): The winds blow how they will. Best not to rush it. Marietta [Agrippina] (00:11:21): I hold my crossbow up to my ear. And I say, "Do I follow the rabbit?" Daniel [GM] (00:11:26): The crossbow responds to you and says, " I don't fucking know. Why do you keep asking me this shit? I don't know. I'm just a crossbow. Here, you point me at something and shoot the arrow. Okay? That is where our relationship is. And I don't understand why you try to make it more than it is." Marietta [Agrippina] (00:11:46): Bathsheba, I thought you were supposed to guide me on my quest. Daniel [GM] (00:11:50): Okay, okay. Yeah. I'll guide you. Go talk to the rabbit and leave me alone. Alex [Ivy] (00:11:57): Does everyone hear this? Daniel [GM] (00:12:00): No, she only she can hear the crossbow. Alex [Ivy] (00:12:03): Okay, good. So firstly, I think we need to talk to the rabbit about manners. Stace [Ser Percy] (00:12:08): You want me to talk to the rabbit about manners? Alex [Ivy] (00:12:11): Clearly he does not know he's addressing royalty. Daniel [GM] (00:12:14): Manners? You're the one who should be talking about manners. You're late. I had this down for... Five minutes ago. Alex [Ivy] (00:12:23): Time does not apply to Royals. Daniel [GM] (00:12:25): Well, I beg to disagree. Time applies to everyone. Alex [Ivy] (00:12:29): Fight me. Time does not apply to Royals. Daniel [GM] (00:12:32): No, I don't have time to fight you. I have another appointment. Marietta [Agrippina] (00:12:35): Nobody has time to fight her. Stace [Ser Percy] (00:12:38): I think this is where she pulls the large, massive ax from behind her back. Alex [Ivy] (00:12:43): Fight me. Daniel [GM] (00:12:44): No. Like I said, I have another appointment and we only have a few minutes to go over these things. So I've called you all here because I need your help with something. And I was originally assured that this would be a much more punctual exchange. But I need your help with my friend Maury. Things are completely out of sorts in Nightingvale. Maury is an administrator to the Listening King, and he's usually so diligent and so capable. But lately he's just... Nothing's getting done. Everything's falling behind. It's not acceptable, not acceptable. Daniel [GM] (00:13:26): How far behind we are on managing petitions and other events and infrastructure logistics of the town... The Listening King is at his wit's end, trying to deal with every one of his subjects that he has to talk to. And quite frankly, it's driving me mad. So I really need you to talk to Maury and try to help get him back on task. And I asked the Listening King who I should talk to about that. He suggested I come to the Heart and ask for assistance. And frankly, you're what showed up. Daniel [GM] (00:14:04): So this is what I was suggesting. I am empowered to offer you something to help you gain your heart's desire from the Listening King should you succeed in this quest. Alex [Ivy] (00:14:15): Sir Percy, do we know I'm Listening King? Stace [Ser Percy] (00:14:18): Hmm, yes. You met him three times. Alex [Ivy] (00:14:24): Was he plain, and that's why we cannot remember the Listening King? Stace [Ser Percy] (00:14:27): I feel like he was very distinctive. Daniel [GM] (00:14:29): The Listening King of Nightingvale, the city. The one who runs that entire city and helps, you know, manage the needs of his people, is very important. I've not even heard of your kingdom. Stace [Ser Percy] (00:14:43): Okay now, rabbit. Alex [Ivy] (00:14:45): I think we should fight him. Stace [Ser Percy] (00:14:46): We've talked about this princess. We're not going to fight everything. Alex [Ivy] (00:14:50): We're going to turn them into a were-possum and that's going to be fine. Stace [Ser Percy] (00:14:53): We can only turn him into a were-possum if we figure out why you're were-possum. Daniel [GM] (00:15:00): If you are all game. I mean, we are talking about something to help you with your heart's desire. And the Listening King always makes good on his promises. Sampson [Whitburn] (00:15:09): And all we need to do is make sure that he gets back on duty? That is our charge? Daniel [GM] (00:15:14): Yeah. He's got to get back on task. We need to get the paperwork flowing night in the hall. Sampson [Whitburn] (00:15:18): A night in the hold will do any man good. Get him back on task. Daniel [GM] (00:15:22): Well, if we're ready to go and you're willing to assist, I need you to follow me. I can take you right to Nightingvale right now. And we can, you know, I can at least direct you to the building where Maury is, but you know, I will have to get to my next appointment after that. I'm already running behind. Alex [Ivy] (00:15:40): Yes, we're going. What happened to Sir Percy? Stace [Ser Percy] (00:15:43): I'm always right here. Always. Daniel [GM] (00:15:47): Okay. Follow me. If you want to, you can grab a cookie as you go. I actually don't know who baked them, but they're sitting out there and it's the Heart, so enjoy. Sampson [Whitburn] (00:15:57): Do you have any spirits? Daniel [GM] (00:15:59): I don't know. I don't live here. Stace [Ser Percy] (00:16:02): Sir Percy, will hand Whitburn a flask. Alex [Ivy] (00:16:07): I was going to say, I bet Sir Percy has a drink. Sampson [Whitburn] (00:16:10): You are a light on the foggy sea. Stace [Ser Percy] (00:16:12): Thanks. Daniel [GM] (00:16:13): Okay. So the white rabbit opens a door of this cottage, and there is a path leading directly into this city. And you guys have been to the Heart multiple times before, and every time the Heart's door has opened up on a different part of the Heartwood, but here you are walking directly into Nightingvale. Nightingvale is... It's pretty large for the Heartwood, in terms of the locations and things like that. It is set along a long yellow river, there's sort of a downtown area. There are multiple bridges sort of connecting it there. And you know, it is distinctive in that regardless of the time of day, you can always hear this faint singing throughout it. It would be birdsong, except that it's definitely not a bird's voice, but it is definitely not intelligible words. There's just constantly this melody running through the town. And the white rabbit kind of leads you down the street. Daniel [GM] (00:17:20): It's hopping along, occasionally checking its watch nervously. And then you come to a large audience area, and you can see at the center of this audience area, sitting on a throne is, for those of you who've met him before, the Listening King. And he is listening to just a parade of people that are lined up to talk to him about various things. But the white rabbit points to a building just to the side and says, "That's the administrative building. That's where you'll find Maury. Just go in, ask for Maury Hoofbottom. He'll help you." Marietta [Agrippina] (00:17:56): Hoofbottom? Is his bottom a hoof? Daniel [GM] (00:18:00): He's a satyr. So I would appreciate you not saying anything insensitive like that in front of him. Alex [Ivy] (00:18:06): He has, like, a singular hoof? Daniel [GM] (00:18:08): No, he has two hooves. Marietta [Agrippina] (00:18:10): Maybe it means that his hosts are on the bottom, Hoofbottom. Alex [Ivy] (00:18:14): Where else would his hooves be? Marietta [Agrippina] (00:18:16): I don't know, man. Stace [Ser Percy] (00:18:17): Princess. Can I talk to you for a second? Alex [Ivy] (00:18:21): Yes, Sir Percy. Stace [Ser Percy] (00:18:22): Over here. Alex [Ivy] (00:18:23): I think she'll just like sidle up to Percy, slightly in the corner. Stace [Ser Percy] (00:18:27): We don't know who these people are. Alex [Ivy] (00:18:29): Well, yes, because one of them isn't sure if hooves should be on the bottom or not. Stace [Ser Percy] (00:18:34): I'm just saying there's weird... You know, this place is a little strange. Alex [Ivy] (00:18:38): That's why the servants go in front. We walk in the back. Stace [Ser Percy] (00:18:43): I am a servant. Alex [Ivy] (00:18:44): Yes. But your station's better than their stations. Stace [Ser Percy] (00:18:47): You're the absolute worst. Alex [Ivy] (00:18:50): But I am on the top. Marietta [Agrippina] (00:18:57): All right. Moira, Moira, is it? Daniel [GM] (00:18:59): Maury. Alex [Ivy] (00:19:01): You know, like the drama TV show on who is the father? "You are not the father." Marietta [Agrippina] (00:19:07): Sorry, I've been watching Schitt's Creek. I guess I'll start walking towards this administrative office. Daniel [GM] (00:19:16): So you go in the store, and it's a fairly simple office. There aren't many rooms to it. And not many people are in here right now. But you do, as you kind of go back into it, there's nobody at the front desk. But what you do see is just stacks and stacks of papers everywhere, just totally disorganized. And some of them are, you know, neat-ish stacks. Some of them are kind of scattered. There doesn't seem to be any rhyme or reason to them that you can see. And as you go farther back into this office, you find a satyr with golden fur. And he is just sort of sitting in a chair with his head in his hands, surrounded by all these stacks of paper. And he doesn't seem to notice you come in. Marietta [Agrippina] (00:20:15): Excuse me. Are you Hoofbottom? Bottomhoof? Daniel [GM] (00:20:19): He looks up and he's like, "Yes, yes." He kind of like crosses his arms. Like, "Yes. I'm Maury Hoofbottom. I'm a city administrator." Marietta [Agrippina] (00:20:27): The rabbit said we should come find you? Daniel [GM] (00:20:30): Oh, I don't know why he would. Everything's fine. Marietta [Agrippina] (00:20:33): Okay. Then why the fuck are we here? Daniel [GM] (00:20:35): "I don't know. I'm here working hard." And he motions to all the papers on his desk, it's like, "Look how much work I have to do. I'm working through it." Marietta [Agrippina] (00:20:45): You need an organizational system? Is that what you're saying? We've been summoned here to organize? Daniel [GM] (00:20:52): No, no, no. I know where everything is, mostly. But I'm just working through things. There's just a lot of competing demands on my time right now. So I have to kind of balance my projects accordingly. Marietta [Agrippina] (00:21:07): So wait, are you not Maury? Daniel [GM] (00:21:09): No, I'm Maury. Yes, Maury Hoofbottom. Marietta [Agrippina] (00:21:12): Why did the rabbit say we needed to come see you if you don't need anything? Daniel [GM] (00:21:17): Well, I don't want to be a bother on anybody. And I honestly, if I just have a little bit of time, I can sort this stuff out, I'm sure. Marietta [Agrippina] (00:21:26): Hey Bathsheba. Do you understand what this [inaudible 00:21:26] is trying to say? Daniel [GM] (00:21:26): It sounds like he says he's got things under control, but I don't know. This place looks like a mess. Marietta [Agrippina] (00:21:39): He says you seem a little two-faced in your statement. So I'm going to need you to be honest, truthful and upfront. Daniel [GM] (00:21:46): Were you just talking to your crossbow? Marietta [Agrippina] (00:21:48): I don't know. Don't you talk to your crossbow? Daniel [GM] (00:21:52): I don't have a crossbow because I don't have to kill anything. Marietta [Agrippina] (00:21:55): That's a travesty. Crossbows are excellent tools, beings. Sentient beings, and she'll gently stroke the crossbow. Daniel [GM] (00:22:07): Quite all right. Okay. I don't know why the rabbit sent you here. I realize I'm a little bit behind, but I can definitely catch up. I just need some time to really focus in on what I'm doing. Marietta [Agrippina] (00:22:23): I don't really know what you're doing besides gathering piles of papers, but enjoy. Daniel [GM] (00:22:29): Well, there's all this paperwork that needs to be processed and you know, needs to be organized, but you know, the decisions need to be made. They need to be, you know, done in the right order and figuring out what order to do them in is extremely important. Stace [Ser Percy] (00:22:42): So if Princess Ivy and I went and asked the Listening King how things are going, he's going to say, "Just fine?" Daniel [GM] (00:22:49): Well, I wouldn't do that. I would just say that... I'm sure that he's frustrated and I share his frustration, but I think I can, you know... Just give it some time without interruption. I'll be fine. Sampson [Whitburn] (00:23:02): A blind man could see, Master Hoofbottom, that you're trying to man a galleon by your lonesome. You need help. Marietta [Agrippina] (00:23:09): You need something, anyway. Daniel [GM] (00:23:12): Okay. Give me a social roll, Sampson. This is normally a 12, but I'm going to give you an asset because that was really good. Alex [Ivy] (00:23:22): Ivy wants wants to help. Daniel [GM] (00:23:23): Okay. Ivy hasn't said anything though. Alex [Ivy] (00:23:25): She's trained in public speaking, or persuasion. Or we could just threaten them. Daniel [GM] (00:23:31): Yeah. So I guess the question is like, what would Ivy be doing to help Whitburn? Because Ivy hasn't said anything yet. Alex [Ivy] (00:23:37): I think Ivy will move a little bit forward, next to Sir Percy and just say, "Well, you know the Listening King and I are such good friends and I'm sure he'd want an update on how this was going." Daniel [GM] (00:23:53): Okay. So that will be an asset. Okay. So that'll be a six for you, Sampson. Sampson [Whitburn] (00:23:56): 16. Alex [Ivy] (00:23:57): Ha ha. Daniel [GM] (00:23:59): So Maury looks at you, and you can see in his eyes... Daniel [GM] (00:24:03): Or it looks at you and you can see his eyes get a little misty and says, "Listen, I know, I know, I know I'm way behind." It's just hard. I don't know... There's a lot of things. The work keeps coming in. I need to do it in the right order so that it gets filed right. I can't figure out the right order fast enough. And then somebody comes in and brings me more stuff. And I just don't... I don't know what to do. And I'm... Marietta [Agrippina] (00:24:28): Okay. Daniel [GM] (00:24:29): Normally, it's not a problem. I can put my... I can put my blinders on and I can stay focused and I can get through the day, but... Marietta [Agrippina] (00:24:37): [inaudible 00:24:37] Do seem very stressed out. Daniel [GM] (00:24:39): My work is backed up. I don't know how to keep up. And I'm just... Frankly, I'm terrified at some point the listening king is going to come in here and see how bad it is. Marietta [Agrippina] (00:24:47): Okay, well, how can we help you then? Daniel [GM] (00:24:51): I don't know. The work keeps coming and you're not... None of you are certified to do it. Marietta [Agrippina] (00:24:57): Okay. Well, let's pick a pile point at one. Daniel [GM] (00:25:01): It's not that simple. Marietta [Agrippina] (00:25:07): Oh, well, it's going to be. Daniel [GM] (00:25:07): No, it's not. Sampson [Whitburn] (00:25:07): Who commands you master Huffbottom? Daniel [GM] (00:25:09): I report to the listening King. Sampson [Whitburn] (00:25:12): My time as a sailor falls behind, it's rarely his fault. But a problem with the management. Daniel [GM] (00:25:18): I don't think so. I've just tried to keep this quiet. Listen, if I just had my blinders, I'd be fine. I could just focus on what I needed to do. Alex [Ivy] (00:25:26): Okay. And where are these blinders? Marietta [Agrippina] (00:25:28): Do you mean like... Yeah, actual blinders? Daniel [GM] (00:25:31): Yes. Yes. Marietta [Agrippina] (00:25:34): Oh, I thought you meant metaphorical blinders. Daniel [GM] (00:25:36): No, no, they're real blinders. They're also enchanted, but when I wear them for eight hours or so, I can focus in on things. I'm incredibly efficient. But without them I'm... This happens. Marietta [Agrippina] (00:25:52): Okay. Where are the blinders? Daniel [GM] (00:25:54): I don't know. I've lost them. Alex [Ivy] (00:25:55): Where did you have them last? Marietta [Agrippina] (00:25:55): Do you remember when you last saw them? Daniel [GM] (00:26:00): Well, here's the thing, I've lost them before, but never for this long. Sometimes I put things in a safe place that I assume that will make it easy to find them again. But when I put them there this time... And this... Sometimes I put the places that they end up being safe from future me. And I can't find them again. But normally over time I can find them, but I have [inaudible 00:26:26] at the office and I have [inaudible 00:26:28] at the house and I can not find them. I have no idea where they are. I don't know if I've simply misplaced them or if they've been stolen or what has happened to them at this point. And meanwhile, I have all this work piling up. I have all these things to take care of at my house and none of these things are moving because all I can do is sit here and worry about how far behind I am. Marietta [Agrippina] (00:26:57): Sounds, IRL, very stressful. Alex [Ivy] (00:27:00): Well, then- Daniel [GM] (00:27:01): It is. I'm at my wit's end. Alex [Ivy] (00:27:06): Delegate. Daniel [GM] (00:27:07): I don't have anybody to delegate to. And even if I did, I don't want to put this... Hand in these inappropriate, [inaudible 00:27:12] things. I need to get it in some sort of order before I give it to them, don't I? Alex [Ivy] (00:27:17): Well, congratulations, I will delegate for you. Daniel [GM] (00:27:20): Okay. But I still have the problem that I don't have staff. And the work keeps coming in. Alex [Ivy] (00:27:25): Well, I'm delegating Sir Percy to you. Stace [Ser Percy] (00:27:27): Oh my God. Listen, I can stop the work from coming in. Daniel [GM] (00:27:32): Really? How? Stace [Ser Percy] (00:27:33): I was going to stand outside the door, tell people go away. Daniel [GM] (00:27:36): Oh, that won't work. The listening king is meeting with people every day. I'm getting edicts every day from the king himself. Stace [Ser Percy] (00:27:41): Oh. Daniel [GM] (00:27:41): But I have to process. Stace [Ser Percy] (00:27:44): Why is he working so many edicts? Daniel [GM] (00:27:46): Well, he's the listening king. He listens to all of his subjects all day and does his best to help everyone that he talks to. It's a very important job. Stace [Ser Percy] (00:27:55): Except for you. Sampson [Whitburn] (00:27:56): Have you talked to him? Daniel [GM] (00:27:58): Well, I'm too busy to go and talk to him. I have all these paperwork to keep up on. Stace [Ser Percy] (00:28:02): Fine. What do you need me to do? Find the blinders? Daniel [GM] (00:28:06): Yes, if somebody could find my blinders, I can... I can sort all of this up very, very quickly. I would assume. I've done it before. I've pulled all nighters. It's it usually works out just fine. Alex [Ivy] (00:28:18): I delegate searching the house to Sir Percy. Stace [Ser Percy] (00:28:20): Okay, I'll search the house. Daniel [GM] (00:28:23): Okay, and that's... That would be lovely. I've tried looking everywhere, but sometimes you do just need a fresh set of eyes. It reaches into a pouch at his waist and pulls out a key and hands it to Sir Percy and says, "My home is just down the street, 204." "Just follow the main road and then take a right." "204 will be on your left." Alex [Ivy] (00:28:49): A question is, to Percy, do I delegate searching the office to the crazy one with the bow and the sailor or do we delegate them to search the house with us? Stace [Ser Percy] (00:29:00): I think we split it up, but you have to come with me so I can protect you or whatever. Alex [Ivy] (00:29:06): Well, you heard it crazy and sailor, you're are searching the office. Congratulations! And she does a little golf clap. Sampson [Whitburn] (00:29:14): Master Huffbottom, where was the last you recalled having these blinders? Daniel [GM] (00:29:19): This is the problem, I've haven't had them for at least three weeks. That's why all this work is piled up. Sampson [Whitburn] (00:29:26): And is this office when you have the blinders more put together like? Daniel [GM] (00:29:31): Once again, his eyes mist up a little bit. I don't know if put together but better, yes. [inaudible 00:29:39] Scattered. The blinders don't make everything go away, of course, they just... They just help a bit. Alex [Ivy] (00:29:44): Make things easier to deal with. Well, we're searching the house. Maybe finding you a cleaner on the way and due to a search in the office. Plan. Sampson [Whitburn] (00:29:54): Four sets of eyes is better than two. Just search the office here first and then the house. We can't find them here. Alex [Ivy] (00:30:02): I'm sorry, are you talking back to royalty? Sampson [Whitburn] (00:30:05): I see no royalty in front of me. Stace [Ser Percy] (00:30:07): Oh. Alex [Ivy] (00:30:08): I have a crown. I left it at home. This is my traveling hat. But I have a crown. Stace [Ser Percy] (00:30:14): She has crown. Sampson [Whitburn] (00:30:16): I've also had crown. What's it matter? Stace [Ser Percy] (00:30:22): That's fine. Daniel [GM] (00:30:24): Either way. Just as long as you don't disturb those two stacks, that's the... And he kind of looks at it with dread. That's the most important paperwork. Alex [Ivy] (00:30:34): Right? I will guard these two stacks and everyone else will search the office. Daniel [GM] (00:30:39): All right. I'm going to try to work on this. And he pulls a random piece of paper down and kind of stares at it and pokes at it with a pen, but doesn't seem to make much progress. And yeah, so the rest of you are searching. Alex [Ivy] (00:30:58): Except for Ivy, who's guarding those two stacks of paper. Daniel [GM] (00:31:02): Okay, so it's going to be a searching role. It's at 12. I assume that somebody is leading this and could have assets from the two others that are searching. Stace [Ser Percy] (00:31:14): I think our sharp eyed sailors should lead it. Percy has an inability and perception. Daniel [GM] (00:31:21): Oh, then Percy can't help, yeah. Stace [Ser Percy] (00:31:23): Oh, so Percy might have to lead it, but still not the same. Nevermind. Alex [Ivy] (00:31:28): So would it make more sense for Sir Percy to guard the stacks of paper and then Ivy actually help? Sampson [Whitburn] (00:31:33): Well [inaudible 00:31:33] has... Is trained in perception, but I thought there's going to be more investigation or can I use that? Daniel [GM] (00:31:39): I would give you a perception in this case. Sampson [Whitburn] (00:31:41): Oh, [inaudible 00:31:41]. Daniel [GM] (00:31:41): So loose in cipher, so... Sampson [Whitburn] (00:31:45): Okay. Yeah, I'll fucking do it. Daniel [GM] (00:31:46): So that would bring it down to a nine. And then assuming that Agra [inaudible 00:31:53] and Ivy help you, that would bring it down to a three. Marietta [Agrippina] (00:31:56): I'll help you. Alex [Ivy] (00:31:58): Yes. As long as it doesn't involve these two stacks fable. Marietta [Agrippina] (00:32:02): I don't have an inability anyway. Daniel [GM] (00:32:04): Okay, so Sir Percy guarding the papers? Stace [Ser Percy] (00:32:07): Yep. Daniel [GM] (00:32:08): Eight or three Samsung? Sampson [Whitburn] (00:32:10): Three on the dot. Alex [Ivy] (00:32:11): Yay! Daniel [GM] (00:32:12): Nice. Alex [Ivy] (00:32:14): Yeah. Daniel [GM] (00:32:14): [crosstalk 00:32:14] You are confident these things are nowhere in the office? Sampson [Whitburn] (00:32:18): Be no treasure on these shores. Shouldn't go to the house. Alex [Ivy] (00:32:23): Oh look, I had a good idea. Sampson [Whitburn] (00:32:26): You didn't, just saying. So you guys are going to go to the house? Stace [Ser Percy] (00:32:29): Yeah. Marietta [Agrippina] (00:32:31): Yeah. Alex [Ivy] (00:32:31): After Ivy kicks him in the shin, yeah. Stace [Ser Percy] (00:32:34): I thought you were playing a different character. Alex [Ivy] (00:32:37): Petra that royal child and forest child sometimes intercept. Daniel [GM] (00:32:43): There is an overlap in that [Vin 00:32:44] diagram, yeah. That's true. Alex [Ivy] (00:32:46): There's [inaudible 00:32:47] child. Daniel [GM] (00:32:47): Yeah. Okay. So you guys go to Maury's house. Maury's house, it's a nice little house here. He obviously does well for himself as an administrator. But you come inside and it is a fucking mess. There is no organization. He's got laundry scattered everywhere. Every flat surface is stacked with random shit. There's no open, flat space anywhere to be found. Alex [Ivy] (00:33:19): Stop calling me out Daniel. Daniel [GM] (00:33:21): I'm working through some stuff, Alex. That's what I'm doing. Alex [Ivy] (00:33:23): Oh yeah. Marietta [Agrippina] (00:33:26): I think that Agra [inaudible 00:33:27] starts picking up all of this laundry and organizing it and preparing to do a load. Daniel [GM] (00:33:33): Yeah. But the house is relatively small. There's not a lot of space. Although he has quite a bit of stuff for the small space. Marietta [Agrippina] (00:33:41): Look, if we just put everything away, maybe we'll find it. Alex [Ivy] (00:33:44): Sir Percy, where's the rest of his house? Stace [Ser Percy] (00:33:46): This is bigger than my house, princess. Alex [Ivy] (00:33:50): Sir Percy, are you a poor? Stace [Ser Percy] (00:33:51): Yes. Daniel [GM] (00:34:00): Sorry. Alex [Ivy] (00:34:03): I thought Papa would pay you better than... Then to be a poor. Stace [Ser Percy] (00:34:06): No. Marietta [Agrippina] (00:34:10): Oh my gosh. I don't think this guy separates his colors. I'm really concerned. Sampson [Whitburn] (00:34:16): Yeah. Daniel [GM] (00:34:16): They're definitely not separated. Stace [Ser Percy] (00:34:19): Percy disapprove. Sampson [Whitburn] (00:34:20): If you wash them on cold, it don't matter. Daniel [GM] (00:34:22): Exactly. That's exactly his philosophy. He just uses cold water for [inaudible 00:34:26]. Stace [Ser Percy] (00:34:27): Oh, I was nodding along because that's my philosophy. Alex [Ivy] (00:34:30): But I do. Stace [Ser Percy] (00:34:32): Yeah. Why do hot water and everything can go in the same load. Marietta [Agrippina] (00:34:36): I just do warm water and everything, so I'm like really chaotic, neutral there. Alex [Ivy] (00:34:44): So is there... Where does he keep his horses? Stace [Ser Percy] (00:34:47): Horses are really... Daniel [GM] (00:34:48): Oh boy. Marietta [Agrippina] (00:34:49): He doesn't wash his dishes either. Alex [Ivy] (00:34:52): Where does the laundress sleep? Sampson [Whitburn] (00:34:54): His dishes are backed up. Stace [Ser Percy] (00:34:55): Guys. Sampson [Whitburn] (00:34:56): It's pretty bad. Marietta [Agrippina] (00:34:58): Oh my gosh, he doesn't even have any gloves for cleaning. And his cleaning stuff is one of those natural cleaning products, doesn't actually work. Sampson [Whitburn] (00:35:05): I think master Huffbottom's been lost at sea longer than three weeks. Marietta [Agrippina] (00:35:09): Yeah. Alex [Ivy] (00:35:09): Is this the language of the poor, Sir Percy? Marietta [Agrippina] (00:35:12): You know what, maybe Mr. Huffbottom just needs to meet another Huffbottom. Stace [Ser Percy] (00:35:17): Okay. Alex [Ivy] (00:35:20): Are you telling him to marry his cousin? Stace [Ser Percy] (00:35:25): No. I think she's implying that whatever his name is, Huffbottom. What's his first name? Alex [Ivy] (00:35:28): Maury. Stace [Ser Percy] (00:35:29): Maury. He's a house spouse. Marietta [Agrippina] (00:35:32): Minimally romantic, or otherwise, whatever they're seeking. Stace [Ser Percy] (00:35:36): But most people don't have servants that pick up after them. Alex [Ivy] (00:35:41): Well, clearly servants won't fit in this house. Marietta [Agrippina] (00:35:44): Sometimes when you work more than 40 hours a week, it really helps to hire people to assist you with your daily chores. Maybe he works a lot. It sounds like he's a busy guy, but he can't make himself work anymore. Maybe we should hire some help for him. Stace [Ser Percy] (00:35:59): With what, your bags of gold? Marietta [Agrippina] (00:36:01): I'm sure he's loaded if he's working for the King. Stace [Ser Percy] (00:36:04): I work for a King. Marietta [Agrippina] (00:36:06): Do you? Alex [Ivy] (00:36:07): We'll talk with father when we get back about your pay. I promise. Stace [Ser Percy] (00:36:10): Thanks princess. Marietta [Agrippina] (00:36:12): This looks unfortunate. Sampson [Whitburn] (00:36:14): Do you guys want to search the house? Stace [Ser Percy] (00:36:15): Percy's going to start picking up. She's doing the dishes. Sampson [Whitburn] (00:36:18): Okay. [inaudible 00:36:19] Looking around. Daniel [GM] (00:36:20): So you are... You are searching by means of- Marietta [Agrippina] (00:36:23): Yeah, we're cleaning this place and looking for the blinders. Alex [Ivy] (00:36:28): I think Ivy's poking with the handle of her ax. Daniel [GM] (00:36:31): Okay. So normally with this place, searching it because there's so much crap here would be a 15. But since you were taking the cleaning approach, it will take you longer, but it'll still give you guys an asset. So to say 12, assuming that... Since Percy is cleaning, I think it's an asset. So who is leading the search? Marietta [Agrippina] (00:36:52): I'll do laundry. I will happily assist, but I'm not trained in this. Isn't anyone trained in searching. Sampson [Whitburn] (00:36:58): I'm trained in perception. Marietta [Agrippina] (00:37:00): I'm just trained in hearing and listening. So I think I assist you then. Sampson [Whitburn] (00:37:05): Okay. Marietta [Agrippina] (00:37:05): Do I hear the blinders? Daniel [GM] (00:37:10): So because you guys are doing it via cleaning, which I think helps. So that brings it down to a 12, and then you have two assists [inaudible 00:00:37:21], which brings it down to a six and then you're trained. So that brings it down to a three. Marietta [Agrippina] (00:37:28): I like it when Daniel does math for us and then he's like, "And that would be a three." Sampson [Whitburn] (00:37:31): Two. Why do you guys keep making me roll? Stace [Ser Percy] (00:37:33): You a two? Sampson [Whitburn] (00:37:34): I rolled a two. A two. Daniel [GM] (00:37:36): You got a two? Sampson [Whitburn] (00:37:37): I got it two. Stace [Ser Percy] (00:37:40): We ain't got no XPS. Sampson [Whitburn] (00:37:40): No. Daniel [GM] (00:37:42): Yeah. You search as hard as you can and you cannot find it. You're not even sure if you... You could have missed something, you're not sure. But it doesn't seem to be here. Alex [Ivy] (00:37:53): I can't use changeable for him, can I? Daniel [GM] (00:37:57): No, I don't think you can. You would have to be leading. Marietta [Agrippina] (00:38:00): I don't think I have any [inaudible 00:00:38:01]. Are they're called [inaudible 00:00:38:02]? Special abilities. I'll ask... Ask Sheba... Ask Sheba, "Do you have any idea where the [inaudible 00:38:10] blinders are with your magical all-knowing knowledge?" Sampson [Whitburn] (00:38:14): How would I know? Marietta [Agrippina] (00:38:16): You're sensing a crossbow, you must know everything. Sampson [Whitburn] (00:38:19): Okay, I'll tell you this, I don't sense anything else magical in here. Marietta [Agrippina] (00:38:25): Okay. Sampson [Whitburn] (00:38:25): Let's put it that way. I get a lot of dirty laundry and dirty dishes, but not any magical items. Marietta [Agrippina] (00:38:35): That's the issue when you wash it on cold, it doesn't really get clean. Stace [Ser Percy] (00:38:38): I feel personally attacked. Alex [Ivy] (00:38:39): Can Ivy search by making a bigger mess? Daniel [GM] (00:38:44): Sure. Sure. Marietta [Agrippina] (00:38:46): [inaudible 00:38:46] Says there's no other magical things here, but what if the blinders are magical, what if they're just like standard blinders? Sampson [Whitburn] (00:38:55): What if it's a coping mechanism for an unhealthy habit? Daniel [GM] (00:38:59): I would say this, you guys wouldn't know. One of the things that you know from your time in the Heartwood is that people can tell when something is magic or not. Marietta [Agrippina] (00:39:07): Okay. And this dude told us it was magical. Daniel [GM] (00:39:10): Yeah. Marietta [Agrippina] (00:39:10): Okay. Daniel [GM] (00:39:11): You didn't inquire any further, but yes, he will do [inaudible 00:15:15]. Alex [Ivy] (00:39:15): So Ivy's going to search by making a bigger mess. Daniel [GM] (00:39:18): Okay. So that is a... It's already been cleaned a bit. So it'll be at 12. Marietta [Agrippina] (00:39:24): Oh my gosh, what are you doing? Alex [Ivy] (00:39:26): 13. Daniel [GM] (00:39:28): Okay. You have searched this house as thoroughly as you think. The blinders you don't think are here, but what you do find is a pair of women's underwear. Marietta [Agrippina] (00:39:40): Ooh, what kind of lady? Alex [Ivy] (00:39:42): I think she parades them in front of everyone. It's like, "No blinders, but I think he has new blinders." "And by blinders, I mean a hobby." Daniel [GM] (00:39:53): Mm-hmm (affirmative). Marietta [Agrippina] (00:39:53): What do you mean a hobby? Alex [Ivy] (00:39:55): And then she's just kind of slingshots the underwear at [inaudible 00:40:00]. Daniel [GM] (00:39:59): Mm-hmm (affirmative). Marietta [Agrippina] (00:40:04): And she whips them out of the air. Stace [Ser Percy] (00:40:06): Shoots them out of the air. Alex [Ivy] (00:40:08): And she like, "Who do these belong to?" Sampson [Whitburn] (00:40:10): It's not like there's a lot of these. There's just this one pair. Alex [Ivy] (00:40:14): Singular panties. Daniel [GM] (00:40:15): Mm-hmm (affirmative). Alex [Ivy] (00:40:16): They're not very nice either. They're the common folks panties. Marietta [Agrippina] (00:40:21): All right, and it doesn't seem magical. I am trained in the basics of magic. Daniel [GM] (00:40:30): See, this is why I always release in videos [inaudible 00:40:28]. Alex [Ivy] (00:40:30): The amount of eye rolls Stacy's doing, dear listener. They'll fall out of her head. Marietta [Agrippina] (00:40:35): One day we'll stream... 5D20 media will take over the internet and we'll will be streaming. And don't you worry. Alex [Ivy] (00:40:43): You will get to see the eye rolls. Marietta [Agrippina] (00:40:44): Big aspirations over here, big dreams. Stace [Ser Percy] (00:40:47): Big ass what? Marietta [Agrippina] (00:40:48): Daniel wrote about it on our Patreon, it's got to be real now. Alex [Ivy] (00:40:51): So after [inaudible 00:40:53] and it gets hit by a giant... I'm assuming they... By panties in the face, poor people's panties, not fancy panties. Well, actually it is that a roll to determine how fancy these panties are? Daniel [GM] (00:41:08): They are nice panties. They're not royal panties, but they're nice panties. Alex [Ivy] (00:41:13): Welcome to the panty podcast, thank you for joining. Daniel [GM] (00:41:17): It's somebody who has some money, but isn't rich and it's their... Maybe I'll get lucky panties. Alex [Ivy] (00:41:23): Could we tell if they would be able to fit Maury? Daniel [GM] (00:41:27): They would not. Alex [Ivy] (00:41:32): Oh. I think it's time for us to go see who Maury's girlfriend is. Daniel [GM] (00:41:35): It seems tangential, but you make no headway here, so yeah. Alex [Ivy] (00:41:41): We find panties in the blinders. I think somebody else took the blinders, left the panties. Marietta [Agrippina] (00:41:46): Okay, so is there some initials written on the tag of these panties? Daniel [GM] (00:41:54): No. Alex [Ivy] (00:41:54): Maybe we should bring them to show Maury. "We found your panties." "Ladies' panties..." Marietta [Agrippina] (00:42:01): Yeah, maybe Mr. Huffbottom would know. Daniel [GM] (00:42:03): Okay. Marietta [Agrippina] (00:42:04): I also have this CDMC thing. On scene thing. Stace [Ser Percy] (00:42:08): Oh. Marietta [Agrippina] (00:42:09): On scene to see... Sampson [Whitburn] (00:42:10): How does that work? Marietta [Agrippina] (00:42:11): You can automatically perceive [inaudible 00:42:13] and objects that are normally invisible out of phase or only partially in the universe when looking at four things more conventionally heading a task is eased, enabler. Daniel [GM] (00:42:22): Okay. So go ahead and spend the points for that. And it will confirm me for you for a fact that there is nothing else magical in here. Marietta [Agrippina] (00:42:30): All right, well, there's no magical blinders in here. Alex [Ivy] (00:42:34): [inaudible 00:42:34] That woman was not invisible in this house as I was throwing around her panties. Marietta [Agrippina] (00:42:39): It's good to know. Good to know. Alex [Ivy] (00:42:41): So, win, win. Now I delegate us back to Maury. Stace [Ser Percy] (00:42:46): It's not. Daniel [GM] (00:42:47): So you guys go back to Maury's office. Maury is... Still got the same sheet of paper in front of him. He's filled out one line on it and he's just got his head in his hands. It's like, " Did you find them?" Alex [Ivy] (00:43:01): We found your panties. Daniel [GM] (00:43:04): Those aren't mine. Stace [Ser Percy] (00:43:05): Well, do you know whose they are? Daniel [GM] (00:43:08): EP, I don't know. I don't make a habit of collecting them. I didn't realize there were any panties in my house. Alex [Ivy] (00:43:16): How many people would be depositing panties in your house on the average week? Marietta [Agrippina] (00:43:22): Who's been in your house? Daniel [GM] (00:43:24): Not often... That's not... I'm not... Not all of us [inaudible 00:43:30] live up to that awful reputation that proceeds us. Alex [Ivy] (00:43:33): There's no judgment, we just need to know how many people's panties we're going to be finding. Daniel [GM] (00:43:38): [inaudible 00:43:38] I didn't even realize those were there. I've had... Delphinia has not... We haven't been together for easily six months, so I haven't seen her. She's... Ever since she left town. Marietta [Agrippina] (00:43:53): Where did she go? How long ago? Alex [Ivy] (00:43:56): Six months. Daniel [GM] (00:43:58): I don't know. She didn't share with me. She just said it was over. I really haven't had time for that kind of thing really and I've maybe spent more time at the Poison Apple, that's about it. Alex [Ivy] (00:44:11): We're going to go see a Poison Apple? Marietta [Agrippina] (00:44:15): Yeah, what's the Poison Apple? Do we know what the Poison Apple is? Daniel [GM] (00:44:17): I would say this is probably your guy's for whatever reason first time in Nightindale so you probably don't know. He says, "Uh-oh, the Poison Apple, it's a tavern." [inaudible 00:44:28] Wonderful place. The proprietor snow is outstanding. She does all this work with the community as well with her earnings, things like that. Sampson [Whitburn] (00:44:36): You often go there after your duties done? Daniel [GM] (00:44:39): Oh yes, they have wonderful food and drink and there are games and things like that, but I haven't been there for a few weeks. Alex [Ivy] (00:44:52): So Percy we're going to go see what a tavern looks like. Stace [Ser Percy] (00:44:53): I know what a tavern looks like. Marietta [Agrippina] (00:44:55): You haven't been there since your blinders have gone missing? Daniel [GM] (00:44:59): Well, I haven't been there since my blinders have gone missing. Sampson [Whitburn] (00:45:03): Have you often taken your blinders there and you finished your shift? Daniel [GM] (00:45:06): I try not to. I try to... They only really work for about eight hours anyway, a day, so I usually drop them off at home before I head out. Alex [Ivy] (00:45:17): I delegate us to the tavern. And she's doing like a little hand clap in front of her, like, "Yay." Stace [Ser Percy] (00:45:25): Can I ask a question first princess, is that all right? Alex [Ivy] (00:45:27): Yes, Percy. Stace [Ser Percy] (00:45:28): All right, Maury, how'd you get these blinders in the first place? Can you ask for another set to be made? Daniel [GM] (00:45:37): My parents, God rest their souls got them for me when I was very young. They went to the listening king and I don't know where they came from explicitly, but the listing king brokered the deal to ensure that they would get it. Stace [Ser Percy] (00:45:52): So why don't you... You're not getting any work done anyway. Why don't you just go get in line? Daniel [GM] (00:45:58): If I'm waiting in line then the work is definitely not getting done and I can't not have progress. God forbid the king find out how far behind I am. Stace [Ser Percy] (00:46:09): Is he cruel? Daniel [GM] (00:46:11): No, he's very kind, but I have my standards to keep to. Stace [Ser Percy] (00:46:16): You're not keeping to them. Daniel [GM] (00:46:18): So I still think I can. I just need to find my blinders. Listen, I have a lot of work to do here, as you can see. If you think you can find my blinders, wonderful, but I really have to stay here because I couldn't stand somebody coming in here and seeing my desk unattended along with all this mess. Alex [Ivy] (00:46:39): To the tavern. And she fist pumps in the air. Stace [Ser Percy] (00:46:43): Can I add a little pungent here? I just want to say that every time Percy opens a door for the princess, she pulls it open and then stomps her foot on the ground with her [inaudible 00:22:54]. Daniel [GM] (00:46:57): Nice, I like that. Very nice. Okay, so you guys go into the tavern or what are you doing? Alex [Ivy] (00:47:02): Tavern, it's been delegated! Sampson [Whitburn] (00:47:05): I kind of want to drag this guy in front of the listening king and just... Have him talk to the listening king. Daniel [GM] (00:47:11): You could try, he will probably fight you on that. Sampson [Whitburn] (00:47:13): That's fair. That's why I'm bringing up out of character because it seems extreme. Stace [Ser Percy] (00:47:17): Well, there's nothing stopping us from getting in line. Alex [Ivy] (00:47:21): That's our plan B. Marietta [Agrippina] (00:47:23): I was going to ask him, is there any other places that you go to besides this tavern or do you just all come work here and go home? Daniel [GM] (00:47:32): Lately... Well, lately I haven't gone at all for a couple of weeks, but yeah, the tavern was my main place to relax and unwind at the end of a long work day. Especially since... Since Delphinia left me. Marietta [Agrippina] (00:47:47): And that was a while ago. And you think it's definitely the blinders and not that Delphinia is gone? Affecting your work? Daniel [GM] (00:47:54): Well, Delphinia left six months ago and this has only been affected me at the last three weeks. Marietta [Agrippina] (00:47:59): That is an argument. Yes. Alex [Ivy] (00:48:02): We're going to the tavern. Marietta [Agrippina] (00:48:03): ... Argument. Yes. Alex [Ivy] (00:48:03): We're going to the tavern. Marietta [Agrippina] (00:48:04): Oh, I guess we're going to the tavern. I'll say to Whitburn. Sampson [Whitburn] (00:48:08): It seems off course, but ... Marietta [Agrippina] (00:48:11): Oh, where should we go then? Oh, I'll ask Bathsheba. Bathsheba, where should we go? She was like, "Bitch, why didn't you just leave me? And why did you pick me up?" Alex [Ivy] (00:48:21): Bathsheba leaves you on red? Daniel [GM] (00:48:23): Definitely left you on red. Marietta [Agrippina] (00:48:25): I totally think that when she found this crossbow too, it was calling to her and she was feeling very compelled, "I must pick this thing up." Pretty sure she was just, we just got a cleaning lady before this happened. Stace [Ser Percy] (00:48:41): Sir Percy has a crossbow. Pretty standard issue crossbow. What makes Bathsheba ... Is Batsheba distinct in any way? Marietta [Agrippina] (00:48:51): Bathsheba's sentient. Stace [Ser Percy] (00:48:53): Well, but in appearance? Marietta [Agrippina] (00:48:55): Bathsheba speaks to me. No, not necessarily. I think there's something special about it when you look at it, but you can't tell what it is necessarily. It's just a crossbow. Alex [Ivy] (00:49:07): It just gives off vibes. Marietta [Agrippina] (00:49:08): Just gives off vibes. You see it and you're like, that's a crossbow. And then you're like, wait. Sampson [Whitburn] (00:49:13): That crossbow fucks. Alex [Ivy] (00:49:16): Yeah, that crossbow fucks. Marietta [Agrippina] (00:49:19): I definitely always seemed to be a crossbow person, I guess, just by saying this very average looking crossbow. Stace [Ser Percy] (00:49:27): So, you're saying Percy could swap out the crossbows? Marietta [Agrippina] (00:49:32): Well, it might be a little embarrassing when the crossbow no longer responds. Stace [Ser Percy] (00:49:37): Like now. Marietta [Agrippina] (00:49:39): I wonder if Bathsheba would talk to you too though? Alex [Ivy] (00:49:42): Ivy is trained in deception. Marietta [Agrippina] (00:49:44): I'm the only one Bathsheba talks to. Daniel [GM] (00:49:47): Guys going to the tavern? Alex [Ivy] (00:49:48): Yes. We've delegated ourselves to the tavern. Daniel [GM] (00:49:52): Okay. So, it doesn't take you long to find the Poison Apple. A lot of people point the way. It is a well established tavern and eatery. It seems to be connected to another building, which is called the Lace Bodice, which is a comfort house. And, but when you go into the Tavern it's well-populated, there are people that are having food, there are people drinking at the bar, there are people in the back corner that are sort of playing games. It doesn't appear to be organized games, it's not a casino or anything like that, it's just people playing from the games of, effectively dice games, poker, other games of chance, things like that. And you can see this beautiful middle-aged woman wandering around sort of supervising every thing with this hair has black as coal, lips as red as blood and skin as white as snow. And she goes around bustling, making sure everything's going ... Occasionally, she steps out through a door that seems to lead to the other building, the Lace Bodice, presumably to supervise that. And then she comes back in. But yeah, the Poison Apple is a very hopping inn. Sampson [Whitburn] (00:51:07): I guess now we go over to the bartender. Daniel [GM] (00:51:08): Okay. The bartender is a somewhat fey creature, probably not completely fey. Maybe they were originally a changeling, different kind of changeling, no werepossum in their background or anything like that. They look mostly human except for the pointed ears. And as you approach, they say, "Can I get you a drink or some food or whatever? Welcome to the Poison Apple." Marietta [Agrippina] (00:51:34): I'll take some tequila, please. Daniel [GM] (00:51:36): Absolutely. Yeah. That's a harder thing to find usually, but we actually have it here. Snow keeps us well-stocked. And he goes behind the bar and brings you a shot of tequila. Stace [Ser Percy] (00:51:48): Actually a question I should have inquired before we started playing. Do we have money? Daniel [GM] (00:51:53): Yeah, you have money. I'll let you know if it's something that's exorbitant since it's a one shot, we're not going to worry about tracking individual currency right now. Stace [Ser Percy] (00:52:03): Okay. Sampson [Whitburn] (00:52:03): Pint of bitter, please. Daniel [GM] (00:52:05): Coming right up. Alex [Ivy] (00:52:05): So, Percy, what do the poor drink? Daniel [GM] (00:52:08): Can everybody make a perception roll of nine for me? Sir Percy of course, is at a 12. Sampson [Whitburn] (00:52:15): 18 Marietta [Agrippina] (00:52:16): Does it involve hearing or listening? Stace [Ser Percy] (00:52:19): Five. Daniel [GM] (00:52:20): Nope. Marietta [Agrippina] (00:52:20): Four. Daniel [GM] (00:52:22): What about Ivy? Alex [Ivy] (00:52:24): She's too focused on what the poor drink? Daniel [GM] (00:52:26): Whitburn, the only thing you notice is that on the back of the bar there is a small board and it has a list of banned patrons and one of them is a fairly convincing, if basic sketch of Maury Hoofbottom. Marietta [Agrippina] (00:52:42): I wonder what happened there. Sampson [Whitburn] (00:52:47): I'll elbow, I assume Sir Percy's right next to me. Point it out to her. It seems our charge is a bit of a scallywag. Stace [Ser Percy] (00:52:55): Had some problems, that's for sure. Hey, princess. Check it out. Alex [Ivy] (00:53:00): I think she's going to squint at the picture and then actually try and get on the other side of the bar to see it better. Daniel [GM] (00:53:06): The bartow is like, "Whoa, whoa, whoa. Nobody comes behind the bar, but me and Snow." Alex [Ivy] (00:53:11): Excuse me, I am your princess and you will let me do what I please. Stace [Ser Percy] (00:53:14): You're not- Daniel [GM] (00:53:15): My princess is Snow and in here, in this domain, you follow her rules. You do not want to cross Snow. Alex [Ivy] (00:53:24): Sir Percy, the poor is talking to me. Stace [Ser Percy] (00:53:27): Princess, this is their building in their kingdom. We have to be nice. Alex [Ivy] (00:53:33): I want a better look at it. Stace [Ser Percy] (00:53:35): It's just, it's Maury. Alex [Ivy] (00:53:36): But I want a better look at Maury's picture. Maybe it says what he did. Maybe we'll know why his girlfriend left him. Daniel [GM] (00:53:45): "Maury's girlfriend doesn't have anything to do with this," the bartender says. Maury got kicked out a few weeks ago. Delphine hasn't been in town for months. Stace [Ser Percy] (00:53:55): We're trying to help. Sampson [Whitburn] (00:53:56): What did Master Hoofbottom do to get him removed from this establishment? Daniel [GM] (00:54:02): He exceeded his tab and well, he did something that ... I don't know the whole detail. I know he had quite the debt and Snow said he couldn't come in anymore. Marietta [Agrippina] (00:54:14): Did he still have his blinders? Daniel [GM] (00:54:16): I don't know what that means. Marietta [Agrippina] (00:54:18): His blinders, did he have them? Daniel [GM] (00:54:20): He didn't have anything of that in his possession here. Alex [Ivy] (00:54:23): So, would we talk to, to get a better idea of the incident? Daniel [GM] (00:54:29): You can talk to Snow. She's the one who banned him. Marietta [Agrippina] (00:54:32): You think that would be possible? Daniel [GM] (00:54:34): She's wandering around, be my guest. And the bartender goes back to cleaning some glasses. Alex [Ivy] (00:54:40): Sir Percy, please summon Snow for me. Stace [Ser Percy] (00:54:42): I will try to find Snow. Daniel [GM] (00:54:45): It's pretty obvious where she is. You can walk right up to her. Stace [Ser Percy] (00:54:48): Oh. Oh, she's inside. Okay. So, Sir Percy will walk up and stand a respectful distance from Snow. Daniel [GM] (00:54:54): And Snow is currently checking in on some patrons, making sure that they're having a good time and everything's okay. She turns around and sees you there. She's like, "Oh, you're new." Stace [Ser Percy] (00:55:04): Yes. We're from one of the smaller crowndoms. Daniel [GM] (00:55:08): Oh, that's lovely. Stace [Ser Percy] (00:55:09): Yes. That's Princess Ivy over there. She was wondering if she could speak to you if you have a moment. Daniel [GM] (00:55:16): Certainly, just give me a moment. And she jots a few things down on a notebook and then she comes over with you. Daniel [GM] (00:55:25): Ah, so new patrons and fellow royalty I see and she nods at Ivy. Says, how can I help you? Welcome to the Poison Apple. Obviously, you can avail yourself of our services here or our sister company, the Lace Bodice both ensure the highest quality of service. Alex [Ivy] (00:55:46): What does one do at the Lace Bodice and why was Maury Hoofbottom banned? Daniel [GM] (00:55:53): Well, the Lace Bodice is a comfort house. So, we tend to your needs in various ways, but Maury was far beyond on debts. And at this point, I need you to make a social role to try to convince her to tell you everything and that is going to be an 18. Alex [Ivy] (00:56:18): So, would persuasion or public speaking help? Daniel [GM] (00:56:21): Yes, that would bring it down to a 15. Alex [Ivy] (00:56:22): Okay. And this is intellect, so I'm going to use one level of effort. Daniel [GM] (00:56:22): Okay. Brings it down to a 12. Alex [Ivy] (00:56:30): 19. Daniel [GM] (00:56:33): Okay. So, I'll tell you what Snow will tell you and then you can propose a minor effect. So, Snow says, "Yeah, Maury was coming in here for a while. He was running up his tab in the Tavern and that wasn't a huge deal, people do that from time to time and I know what Maury makes, he's good for it and honestly, we try to stay in good step with the city. It helps with my efforts on the humanitarian side with the broken spindle, but of late, Maury started making use of the services in the Lace Bodice, which also wasn't so much of a problem, but then he broke the rules and made individual arrangements with one of the girls to meet him at his home instead of in the Bodice. That's against the rules and so I had to tell him he wasn't welcome here until he paid his debts. Alex [Ivy] (00:57:26): Oh, so that's whose panties we found. Daniel [GM] (00:57:29): I have no idea. Alex [Ivy] (00:57:31): Can we meet this individual and tell them they have rather average panties? Daniel [GM] (00:57:38): Well, what she did was strictly against the rules. So, she's no longer employed at the Lace Bodice. Alex [Ivy] (00:57:44): We are so genuinely concerned. She may be a thief. Daniel [GM] (00:57:48): Well, I never got that impression from her. She did break the rules, but I think Maury had offered her a substantial sum. I never got the impression she was a thief. She did enjoy indulging her vices, but it's not anything that was that outlandish. I don't think she's a thief of any kind in any way. I don't think she's in the city anymore. Alex [Ivy] (00:58:11): Wait. Was this his girlfriend? Daniel [GM] (00:58:13): Delphine? No. No, no, no. This girl was professional while she was here, but she left three weeks ago. Marietta [Agrippina] (00:58:28): Maybe she took it. Alex [Ivy] (00:58:28): I'm pretty sure she did. Marietta [Agrippina] (00:58:28): We shall hunt her down. Daniel [GM] (00:58:28): Well, she broke the rules, but I don't think you need to be that severe. But yeah, she left. Last I heard she was heading out of town, maybe headed for the sea. Alex [Ivy] (00:58:38): Well, she did steal an enchanted item and in our kingdom that is quite a hefty price to pay. Daniel [GM] (00:58:44): If she stole it, sure. And if is she stole it willingly, sure. I'm no stranger to enchantment either. Alex [Ivy] (00:58:52): Sir Percy, we shall go on the hunt. Do we have my riding gloves with me? Stace [Ser Percy] (00:58:58): Yes, I have your riding gloves. Marietta [Agrippina] (00:59:00): We all know what Ivy's plan is. Everyone else can have a boat and- Sampson [Whitburn] (00:59:05): What would be the name of this deserter? Daniel [GM] (00:59:06): I wouldn't call her that. She goes by, well, she's ... To be honest, she never really gave her name. She was always worried about people having power over her. We just always called her the blue haired fairy. Or the fairy with blue hair. Marietta [Agrippina] (00:59:32): Do you think Ivy actually does that in front of people? Like ... Sampson [Whitburn] (00:59:32): You say she went to sea? Which part did she make to? Daniel [GM] (00:59:36): Alex, would you like to use your minor effect to get this answer? Marietta [Agrippina] (00:59:40): Yes, I would. Daniel [GM] (00:59:42): Okay. Daniel [GM] (00:59:43): She says, "Well, if she's headed to the sea and you guys all know from your time in the heartwood, this is the Sea of Innumerable Echos. And knowing her, she does love to gamble. If I had to guess, I would say she's probably in Catch Fools. And any of you can roll to see if you know about this, it'll be some sort of history or anything like that. Sampson [Whitburn] (01:00:09): I'm trained in history. Alex [Ivy] (01:00:11): Percy, please roll for me. Daniel [GM] (01:00:14): So, it's going to be a six for Sampson, nine for everybody else. Alex [Ivy] (01:00:17): Ivy doesn't care. She's just like, she's waiting for Sir Percy to tell her what she needs to know. Marietta [Agrippina] (01:00:22): 10. Stace [Ser Percy] (01:00:24): Three. Sampson [Whitburn] (01:00:24): 18. Daniel [GM] (01:00:27): Okay. So, Agrapina and Whitburn, you know that Catch Fools is a city that is in the stomach of this enormous dogfish out in the ocean and it's notorious because it is a city where every vice is encouraged. It is run by an enigmatic figure called the Piper. Marietta [Agrippina] (01:00:54): So, we have two options, go to Sin City or go talk to the King. One of those sounds more enjoyable than the other. One of them sounds like a better audio drama than the other. Stace [Ser Percy] (01:01:08): Princess, we should probably confirm the terms of the deal with the rabbit, with the King. Alex [Ivy] (01:01:14): I think it was just get him back on task. Stace [Ser Percy] (01:01:16): But Maury's not going to grant us our heart's desire, the King is. We haven't even talked to the King. Alex [Ivy] (01:01:22): Right. Well, I'm kind of worried it's one of those situations where it's like, you only get one favor a year youngling. So, get in line, talk to me and then you ask for one thing and then for the rest of the year you cannot ask for nothing. And then we'll waste it asking for these stupid fucking blinders and then no wish. Marietta [Agrippina] (01:01:43): How long is the line anyway? Daniel [GM] (01:01:45): It would probably take you to the greater part of the day. The line does disperse at night when the King wraps up, but- Marietta [Agrippina] (01:01:52): So, we could just camp out for tomorrow and research today. Daniel [GM] (01:01:56): Oh yeah. You could try to get rush tickets for sure. Marietta [Agrippina] (01:01:58): Cool. Stace [Ser Percy] (01:02:00): FastPass? Sampson [Whitburn] (01:02:01): How far is it to Catch Fool from here? Daniel [GM] (01:02:05): So, you need to get to the Sea of Innumerable Echos, but I would say Whitburn, you would know with your 18 and being a sailor that to get to Catch Fools as long as you're on a ship that is loaded up with supplies, it'll take you a day and a wish to find yourself at Catch Fools. Marietta [Agrippina] (01:02:23): Do we need the wish anyway? Daniel [GM] (01:02:27): To be clear, there is no wrong answer here. Either approach could potentially generate benefit for you. It is totally up to you. This is one of Daniel's non-linear plot lines. There are multiple avenues to success here. Alex [Ivy] (01:02:40): Like Alex wants to go to Sin City. Marietta [Agrippina] (01:02:44): Bathsheba, where should I go? Daniel [GM] (01:02:47): Where do you want to go? Seriously, why do you keep asking me this? Marietta [Agrippina] (01:02:52): Wherever we find these stupid blinders. Daniel [GM] (01:02:54): I don't know where the blinders are. Marietta [Agrippina] (01:02:55): I can't even get witched by some sentient creature that's actually invested in my wellbeing at least somewhat. Gosh. Daniel [GM] (01:03:05): I wish the best for you Agrapina. I care about you, just so you know. Marietta [Agrippina] (01:03:10): I can tell you're blatantly lying and I don't know why you compelled me to pick you up if you didn't want to hang out with me. Daniel [GM] (01:03:17): I didn't compel you to do shit. I was just sitting there. Marietta [Agrippina] (01:03:21): And you were like pick me up, pick me up. You have to pick me up. I've never been interested in crossbows in my entire existence and now I'm all about them. How did that happen? Daniel [GM] (01:03:32): Well, it always does touch my heart when you tell me how magnetic I am, but seriously, I don't know. Whichever way you want to go. Stace [Ser Percy] (01:03:40): I just want to know. Is Bathsheba only audible to- Marietta [Agrippina] (01:03:45): Yes. Daniel [GM] (01:03:49): It's audible to Agrapina, nobody else can hear this conversation. Alex [Ivy] (01:03:51): But are we hearing the other end of the conversation? Marietta [Agrippina] (01:03:55): Oh, you're definitely hearing me. Daniel [GM] (01:03:57): Yeah. Agrapina's definitely saying this out loud to the crossbow. Holding up the crossbow to her head and saying this. Sampson [Whitburn] (01:04:04): Whitburn's going to whisper to Ivy and Sir Percy, "I don't think her sails are properly rigged if you catch my meaning." Alex [Ivy] (01:04:10): This is why I called her crazy. Sampson [Whitburn] (01:04:12): See. Madness has taken her. Alex [Ivy] (01:04:15): We have a house for them. Daniel [GM] (01:04:17): Well, Snow does look at you when you say that because she's still standing there. And she says, "Well, we're all mad here, dear. You wouldn't be here if you weren't mad." Marietta [Agrippina] (01:04:27): That's true. That's true. Sampson [Whitburn] (01:04:31): We all look at the camera. Marietta [Agrippina] (01:04:32): So, in the background was ... Oh my God they said the thing, they said that thing, they said the thing. Stace [Ser Percy] (01:04:36): Percy is literally mad. She is upset. Marietta [Agrippina] (01:04:40): You seem angry. Do you want to talk about it? Stace [Ser Percy] (01:04:43): No stranger. Marietta [Agrippina] (01:04:45): I though we were companions now. Stace [Ser Percy] (01:04:46): No. Marietta [Agrippina] (01:04:49): No? Alex [Ivy] (01:04:49): Knowing each other for what? Four hours? Daniel [GM] (01:04:52): Yeah. So, you can take either approach, but I do need you guys to make a choice. For the audio. Alex [Ivy] (01:04:59): I vote Sin City. Sampson [Whitburn] (01:05:02): I vote King. Marietta [Agrippina] (01:05:03): I vote Sin City because that's more fun. Definitely. And I don't know if I want to meet this King. What if he's an asshole? It'd be really disappointing to meet the King and be like, oh, what a drag. Stace [Ser Percy] (01:05:16): I want Percy to do what Princess Ivy wants to do. No, that's really the truth. Alex [Ivy] (01:05:22): Can we do all quests? Daniel [GM] (01:05:23): Okay. Marietta [Agrippina] (01:05:24): Yeah. Why not? I'm a completionist. Alex [Ivy] (01:05:26): Oh fuck yeah. Completionist this shit. Daniel [GM] (01:05:29): Okay. So, you stand in line for the King. Alex [Ivy] (01:05:33): Ivy doesn't stand in line. Stace [Ser Percy] (01:05:35): Percy stands in line. Daniel [GM] (01:05:36): Yeah. Percy can stand in line and then call Ivy over when she gets to the front. Marietta [Agrippina] (01:05:40): Ivy's sitting at a table sipping tea, waiting while Percy stands. Daniel [GM] (01:05:46): So, it takes most of the day, but then you approach the King. He's a middle-aged man, dark of hair with a few gray hairs of his beard. And he's sitting on his throne and as you approach he says, "Ah, okay, a visitor." And one of the things you notice that as you approach him throughout this area, one of the things that you do notice is a sign posted here. And presumably it's a sign that's also on the edge of town, but it does have some rules. It says welcome to the knight of vale, you all are welcome, please obey the following rules: no debts may be collected here, no purses may be cast here, no glass hairs or Wendy's loud, companion animals are welcome except dragons, visitors may stay three days and no more. Alex [Ivy] (01:06:43): You better stay out of the dog park. Daniel [GM] (01:06:44): And the King motions you forward and says to Sir Percy, "Yes, my young lady. What can I do to help you? What do you come to bring to my- Stace [Ser Percy] (01:06:55): Hello, listening King. I would like to ask a favor of you, if you would speak to my princess. Daniel [GM] (01:07:03): Certainly. And your princess is? Stace [Ser Percy] (01:07:06): Sir Percy's waving, come over here. Alex [Ivy] (01:07:11): Ivy casually gets up and like slowly walks over. Daniel [GM] (01:07:18): But takes way too long ... There's just this long awkward silence between you and the listening King before Ivy gets there. Daniel [GM] (01:07:24): "Yes. How can I help you? From the audience I see that you're not a subject, but I will meet with all." Alex [Ivy] (01:07:31): We're on a quest. Daniel [GM] (01:07:33): Yes? Many quests here today. Marietta [Agrippina] (01:07:37): Is Whitburn and Agrapina there? Daniel [GM] (01:07:40): Yeah, let's say they are. Agrapina. Marietta [Agrippina] (01:07:43): Your rabbit hired us. Alex [Ivy] (01:07:45): Yes. Rabbits, rabbits. Daniel [GM] (01:07:48): The white rabbit? Marietta [Agrippina] (01:07:49): Yeah. We're not really sure what the job is specifically though. He was just like, "Go talk to this dude and you'll have a job, but we don't know like what the job is. And he said that you would give us a great reward. So, we're just confirming." Daniel [GM] (01:08:01): So, you're here for help figuring out what your job is? Alex [Ivy] (01:08:04): No, no, no, no. Evens or odds? Someone call it. Marietta [Agrippina] (01:08:07): Even. Daniel [GM] (01:08:09): What'd you get Alex? Alex [Ivy] (01:08:11): Evens. Ivy's going to tell everything. Get them bitch. Alex [Ivy] (01:08:17): So, the white rabbit came and told us that Maury Hoofbottom was deeply behind in his work and he needed our help to get back to being organized. So, then we confronted Maury Hoofbottom about being disorganized and behind on his work and he told us that he's lost the enchanted blinders that his parents had gotten from you to give to him. We did find out that he did have a lady visit him and probably the lady stole them and has gone off to gamble them away. But yes, that's what our quest is. Daniel [GM] (01:08:49): What did you say was stolen from Maury? Alex [Ivy] (01:08:51): His blinders. Daniel [GM] (01:08:52): Oh, that is sad. That was a difficult thing his family acquired for him. Alex [Ivy] (01:08:58): Right. So we're going to seek vengeance against the woman who sold them. Stace [Ser Percy] (01:09:02): No, no, no. Nope. Daniel [GM] (01:09:06): What was that Sir Percy? Stace [Ser Percy] (01:09:07): We're trying to recover the blinders for Maury and the rabbit said that you would grant us our heart's desire if we helped. Daniel [GM] (01:09:19): Interesting. Let me see if I have any notes on that. Daniel [GM] (01:09:22): And he reaches into his pocket and he pulls out a walnut. And he opens this walnut and pulls out this long string of paper and he looks through it and he says, "Oh yes. I do see something from the white rabbit here. There is an exchange of heart's desire items in order to help with Maury Hoofbottom. I do see that that is officially on the record." Of course, some point Maury will have to process that for it to be completely valid. "Yes. So, how can I help you? I only brokered the deal for his blinders so I don't know ... Getting them again would be difficult. I haven't seen the creator of it for some time. You know Baba Yaga, she tends to wander here or there. She hasn't been by the city in a long time. I don't think I've seen her since I brokered the original deal for the blinders. Alex [Ivy] (01:10:22): Right. So, vengeance and she fist pumps in the air. Stace [Ser Percy] (01:10:25): Then we need to get to the Dogfish City. Daniel [GM] (01:10:30): Catch Fools? Stace [Ser Percy] (01:10:31): Yes. That is our best lead if you could help us with that. Alex [Ivy] (01:10:35): Yes. Daniel [GM] (01:10:36): We don't really have any direct connections to the ocean from here, but I'm sure Tink and the woodcutters could point you to an appropriate path to find your way to a shipping city. Stace [Ser Percy] (01:10:46): Thank you, Your Majesty. Sampson [Whitburn] (01:10:48): If you can't get us the blinders directly, can we ask mercy on Hoofbottom until we can fetch these blinders for him? He needs help manning his ship. Daniel [GM] (01:11:00): I'll see what I can do. We do have so many requests coming through, we are quite behind. I'll try to go easy on him in the meantime. Maury's very dear to me. I understand. Sampson [Whitburn] (01:11:12): Then you should take better care of him. Daniel [GM] (01:11:14): For the sake of the agreement, I will ignore that comment and suggest again, I can have Tink show you the path to a shipping city and good luck on your quest. Hopefully, you can fulfill it so that I might reward you appropriately. Stace [Ser Percy] (01:11:29): Thank you, Your Majesty. And Percy just glares at Whitburn. Alex [Ivy] (01:11:33): This is why you don't deal with the poor. Marietta [Agrippina] (01:11:38): Yeah. Tink would be great. Daniel [GM] (01:11:39): The King beams at you and says, "Quite all right." And he jots a few things down on a piece of paper, stuffs it back into his walnut, puts it in his corner and says, "If you just step off the side, Tink will be with you shortly." Sampson [Whitburn] (01:11:52): Whitburn goes to the side. Daniel [GM] (01:11:54): And it only takes a moment before Tink, a small fey creature about four feet in height comes over and says, "So, you're looking to- Daniel [GM] (01:12:03): Comes over and says, "So you're looking to get to the sea?" Sampson [Whitburn] (01:12:06): "Yar." Daniel [GM] (01:12:06): Nice, cute. "Okay, come this way." And she leads you to the edge of town into the woods. And she walks past several sort of organized entrances to the woods before she finally points down a well-worn trail. And she's like, "Follow this path. Do not leave the path. If you follow the path, you'll get to the docks. If you go off the path for even a moment, I can't promise you'll be safe." Marietta [Agrippina] (01:12:36): "Stay on the path. Got it." Stace [Ser Percy] (01:12:37): "Thank you. Kink." Daniel [GM] (01:12:39): "All right. Now off you go. I've got work to do." Marietta [Agrippina] (01:12:43): Off we go. Alex [Ivy] (01:12:44): "Lead the way, [Whitborn 01:12:43]. You know the sea." Sampson [Whitburn] (01:12:48): "We do not be at sea, Ivy." Alex [Ivy] (01:12:48): "Right, but can't you smell it?" Daniel [GM] (01:12:51): Oddly enough, Whitborn, you can smell it coming from the stretch. Sampson [Whitburn] (01:12:55): I can, but I'm not going to admit that she openly... Daniel [GM] (01:13:00): Okay. So you guys are going down the path. It's odd as you're walking down the path... It had taken you most of the day to meet the Philistine King, and so now it's twilight, but as you walk through the forest, you notice that everything seems to be twilight. The twilight seems to never end. And it's almost as if in some ways you're moving faster than expected. It's like the road is almost coming forward to meet your footsteps and it doesn't take you long before you find yourself in a small dock community where several ships are loading up with supplies. Marietta [Agrippina] (01:13:37): "Wow. That was really impressive." Sampson [Whitburn] (01:13:39): "What was?" Marietta [Agrippina] (01:13:40): "The path thing" Sampson [Whitburn] (01:13:41): "Mm. Same as any other path." Marietta [Agrippina] (01:13:44): "I'm just really bad at navigating." Daniel [GM] (01:13:46): Bathsheba says in your head "yeah, you are" Marietta [Agrippina] (01:13:52): She knows me. Daniel [GM] (01:13:59): She gets it. She gets me. Alex [Ivy] (01:14:02): "Go fish man. Go do your fish thing and get us to the fish city." Sampson [Whitburn] (01:14:06): I do not be a fisherman. I Just be a normal God fearing man then [inaudible 01:14:12] this way. Alex [Ivy] (01:14:12): "But you work with fish." Stace [Ser Percy] (01:14:15): "Which God?" Sampson [Whitburn] (01:14:17): "The one God, the only one." Alex [Ivy] (01:14:18): "Stan?" Stace [Ser Percy] (01:14:18): "Must be talking about Stan." Sampson [Whitburn] (01:14:22): "Heathens." Daniel [GM] (01:14:23): Okay. So Whitborn, what are you pursuing? There are three ships loading right now. Sampson [Whitburn] (01:14:31): Is there a dock master around? Daniel [GM] (01:14:34): Sure. Sampson [Whitburn] (01:14:35): I go to the dock. Daniel [GM] (01:14:36): The dock master is a youngish woman actually in her twenties, long red hair. Probably about five, six ish. Sampson [Whitburn] (01:14:48): Philistine will go up. "Excuse me, Madam." Daniel [GM] (01:14:50): "Yes?" Sampson [Whitburn] (01:14:52): "Do you have any vessels making for [Catchfools 01:14:55] today?" Daniel [GM] (01:14:59): "Eventually many of them ended up there, but I think the Sea Witch over there at the end is headed in that direction." Sampson [Whitburn] (01:15:06): "Are they taking on passengers?" Daniel [GM] (01:15:08): "You'd have to ask them, I just deal with the custom. They load it up for shipping. I don't know if they're taking passengers or not." Sampson [Whitburn] (01:15:16): "What be the name of the captain of the Sea Witch?" Daniel [GM] (01:15:19): "Jamiroquai." Sampson [Whitburn] (01:15:24): Captain Jamiroquai. Daniel [GM] (01:15:25): Hell yeah. Sampson [Whitburn] (01:15:27): "Thank you. And have a good day." Alex [Ivy] (01:15:28): [inaudible 00:03:29]. Sampson [Whitburn] (01:15:29): I'm going to go talk to Jamiroquai. Daniel [GM] (01:15:32): Okay. So it doesn't take you long to find Captain Jamiroquai over by his ship. And he's like, "Yeah. How can I help you? I'm trying to get ready to set sail here." Sampson [Whitburn] (01:15:43): "We wish to buy passage to Catchfools, if you'd be taking on passengers." Daniel [GM] (01:15:51): "Yeah. I mean, I'll take on passengers. Depends on what you can offer. We don't take people for free." Marietta [Agrippina] (01:15:58): "What is your usual fare for an individual traveling?" Daniel [GM] (01:16:02): "Well, for an individual traveling? I mean, 20 gold a piece, and no fairy gold mind you, actual gold. But we also accept trade. Sampson [Whitburn] (01:16:13): "Would you accept the memory of a lover for four?" Daniel [GM] (01:16:18): "The memory of a lover for four. Tell me what you mean." Sampson [Whitburn] (01:16:25): Who has the panties? Is it Ivy? Does Ivy have the panties? Alex [Ivy] (01:16:34): Probably. Daniel [GM] (01:16:37): Okay, she shot it at Agrippina. Marietta [Agrippina] (01:16:39): Oh, maybe don't have the panties, I didn't pick them up. Alex [Ivy] (01:16:42): I feel like Ivy would have grabbed them as evidence, to be like "Look at your common panties." Stace [Ser Percy] (01:16:49): I know it was like 45 minutes ago or more, but we show the pan... We did. We said, Hey Mari, are these your panties? Alex [Ivy] (01:16:58): Yeah. Stace [Ser Percy] (01:16:58): I believe it was Ivy. Alex [Ivy] (01:16:59): So we have the panties. Yeah, okay. Ivy has these panties that she's been waving around town. Daniel [GM] (01:17:05): "I don't usually carry people for panties." Sampson [Whitburn] (01:17:08): "'Tis a memory though, what form it takes is irrelevant." Daniel [GM] (01:17:14): "Who do you think I am? I don't exactly go around buying panties from people." Stace [Ser Percy] (01:17:19): "So sailor, can't you work the sails?" Sampson [Whitburn] (01:17:24): "Aye, I can do that. Work as a [lineman 01:17:26] for passage." Daniel [GM] (01:17:27): "That's great that you can make your passage, but that doesn't cover everybody else's." Stace [Ser Percy] (01:17:31): Princess Ivy, you have to have 20 gold. Alex [Ivy] (01:17:33): "Is that a lot, or a little?" Stace [Ser Percy] (01:17:35): "You should negotiate a better price, it's a little steep. Also I need 20 gold." Alex [Ivy] (01:17:40): "Oh, boat driver? You will charge us a lesser fare because you are carrying royalty, and that is a privilege upon itself." Daniel [GM] (01:17:49): Okay. Are you using any powers for this? Stace [Ser Percy] (01:17:51): Battleax. Alex [Ivy] (01:17:54): I'm using my ability in battleax. For persuasion, I'm trained in persuasion. Daniel [GM] (01:18:02): Okay. So, that'll make it a nine. Alex [Ivy] (01:18:03): Yeah. I'm just going to stick with persuasion. Daniel [GM] (01:18:04): Okay. Alex [Ivy] (01:18:06): I got a 15. Daniel [GM] (01:18:09): Okay. He lowers the price to 10 gold to person. So Whitburn's service would cover two people and the remaining 20 gold, I think Ivy probably has with no problem. Alex [Ivy] (01:18:21): Yeah. Daniel [GM] (01:18:23): Okay. So the captain agrees to transport you. You pay him the 20 gold, you guys board, you set off and he is heading towards Catchfools. He has a number of things to take there and it does take about a day. And the captain does spend some time at the bow making a wish. And you guys find yourself at the... It's a gate to the city, which doesn't make sense because you know it's inside of this [dogfish 00:01:18:58], but it's not the mouth of the dogfish. So let's be honest, this gate is probably a gaping asshole that you just sail right up into and reach a port inside. Daniel [GM] (01:19:13): The city is huge. There are all sorts of lights and activity, the docks are rowdy. The captain says "You're here, Catchfools." So have any of you been to Catchfools before? Marietta [Agrippina] (01:19:24): I don't think so. Sampson [Whitburn] (01:19:27): Have I been to Catchfools? Daniel [GM] (01:19:29): Evens or odds? Sampson [Whitburn] (01:19:31): Evens. Daniel [GM] (01:19:33): Stace, I'm asking you to roll. Tell me if you get evens or odds. Stace [Ser Percy] (01:19:38): 19, that's an odd. Daniel [GM] (01:19:39): Okay. And you chose evens, right? Stace [Ser Percy] (01:19:41): Tough break. Daniel [GM] (01:19:43): So captain Jamiroquai looks at you and says "I'll give you a few warnings. Every sin and vice is encouraged here, but committing a crime, at least as the Piper sees it? There's only one sentence for that. And that's that his Coachman turns you into a donkey. If you're lucky, you start pulling the coach or you go to a farm. Fail, you get sent to a dog food factory. Don't commit any crimes. Two-" Marietta [Agrippina] (01:20:11): "What are considered crimes in this place?" Daniel [GM] (01:20:13): "It changes. Some of the examples are not having any obvious vices, trying to talk people out of indulging their vices, things like that." Marietta [Agrippina] (01:20:23): "So just don't talk to anyone." Daniel [GM] (01:20:26): "Well, that could look suspicious too. The Piper changes a little bit on the day, but it's not just the Coachman you've got to worry about. I'll give you one more warning. Watch out for the undertaker rabbits. Marietta [Agrippina] (01:20:39): "Wait, are they white?" Daniel [GM] (01:20:40): "They're all sorts of colors, but they wear dark hoods and they carry around their coffins. You see your name on the coffin, you best sin or indulge quickly, or you'll find yourself in it." Marietta [Agrippina] (01:20:53): "Oh, so we need to sin and indulge." Daniel [GM] (01:20:56): "It's wise. I mean, that's why people come to catch fools." Stace [Ser Percy] (01:20:59): "We're here because we're looking for someone." Alex [Ivy] (01:21:02): "We're here for vengeance. That's a sin." Daniel [GM] (01:21:05): "Of sorts, depending on the type of vengeance, it could break the rules, break the law. But I'm not familiar with everybody here. I'm just saying, that's my warning. I'm dropping you off here. I'm not staying long." Sampson [Whitburn] (01:21:17): "Where would you go if you were searching for a gambler, any particular district or ward?" Daniel [GM] (01:21:22): "I would probably go to the gambling den. The Billy Goats Gruff." Sampson [Whitburn] (01:21:25): "Not the Billy Goats Bluff?" Daniel [GM] (01:21:27): "No, that's a little too on the nose. Don't you think?" Sampson [Whitburn] (01:21:31): Whitburn shrugs. Daniel [GM] (01:21:34): "Just watch out for the rabbits." And then he goes back to unloading his wares. Sampson [Whitburn] (01:21:40): "Well, [inaudible 01:21:41] making way." Stace [Ser Percy] (01:21:42): Oh, Percy follows Ivy. I want to make that clear. So if Ivy's going, Percy's going. Alex [Ivy] (01:21:46): "But Percy, you're here to sin with me, correct?" Stace [Ser Percy] (01:21:49): "Seems like it." Alex [Ivy] (01:21:51): "Then hold my hand and we will sin against the class." Stace [Ser Percy] (01:21:56): Percy holds her hand to fulfill local laws and customs. Daniel [GM] (01:22:03): Okay. Where are you guys going? I mean, you're welcome to town. This is a very bustling, busy city. There are drunk people wandering the streets. There are high people wandering the streets. There are casinos and comfort houses, and also flat out brothels and gambling dens, and all sorts of places all through here. There's also sort of standard taverns and general stores and things like that too. But definitely there is a theme here and that is to indulge. Alex [Ivy] (01:22:40): "Should we go to the what-you-call-it?" Stace [Ser Percy] (01:22:42): "The Tavern?" Alex [Ivy] (01:22:42): "Yeah." Sampson [Whitburn] (01:22:45): "Billy Goats Gruff." Is it a Tavern? I thought it was a gambling den. Alex [Ivy] (01:22:47): Casino? Daniel [GM] (01:22:47): Gambling den. Alex [Ivy] (01:22:49): Yes. Marietta [Agrippina] (01:22:49): Let's go do it. Daniel [GM] (01:22:52): Okay. So you're walking down the street. You guys do have to kind of step out of the way as this coach is led across with this parade of 12 donkeys leading it. You can't clearly see who's driving the coach, they're in [deep cloak 00:01:23:08] but you presume this is the Coachman that you were warned about, the one that turns people into donkeys for breaking the law. Marietta [Agrippina] (01:23:20): Oh, great, love that. Stace [Ser Percy] (01:23:20): Percy sees it and starts drinking out of her flask just in case. Daniel [GM] (01:23:25): Yeah. You have to get directions from some of the locals, but nobody's going to stop you from going to the den. It's not particularly hidden, but everybody will point you the direction of the Billy Goats gruff. And as you're heading that way, you see a group of these six foot tall rabbits with dark cowls on their heads, walking, carrying these ebon coffins. And it's at this point, I'm going to offer sir Percy an XP. Stace [Ser Percy] (01:24:03): Oh. Daniel [GM] (01:24:03): Who would you give the other XP to? Stace [Ser Percy] (01:24:05): Alex for being my partner and- nope not going to finish that sentence. Partner in general. Alex [Ivy] (01:24:10): Partner in general. Daniel [GM] (01:24:12): Okay. So, Sir Percy, you see your name, not just Sir Percy, but your full name on one of the coffins. Stace [Ser Percy] (01:24:22): Okay. What is the nearest house of sin? Well, not like house of sin, not necessarily a brothel, but what's the nearest thing she could dive in and immediately indulge in whatever's inside? Alex [Ivy] (01:24:37): Ivy. Stace [Ser Percy] (01:24:40): What did you say? Ivy? Daniel [GM] (01:24:44): So there is a gambling hall behind you. There are a few people playing a pick up game of dice on the street. There is one person that seems to be selling some sort of hallucinogenic drug. Stace [Ser Percy] (01:25:02): For how much? Seeing as I have a lot of... Daniel [GM] (01:25:07): They'll sell it for either three gold or the color of your eyes. Stace [Ser Percy] (01:25:12): Like, they'll take the color out of her eyes? Daniel [GM] (01:25:15): Yeah. The color of your eyes. Stace [Ser Percy] (01:25:17): Percy will scrounge up three gold and buy the hallucinogenic and eat it. Daniel [GM] (01:25:23): Okay. Percy, do you eat that immediately? The guy says "It'll take about 20 minutes to kick in, but have a good time." And sure enough, as you walked by, you see your name disappear from the outside of the coffin. Stace [Ser Percy] (01:25:40): That was close. Daniel [GM] (01:25:42): And you see somebody else's name appear on it. And you see another person in the street frantically trying to decide what to do, like torn by indecision, this young man. And he's thinking, he's looking, he tries to run over to a dice game, but they're busy. They want to finish the round instead. And then the next thing you see is him fade out and you hear this pounding sound inside the coffin as the rabbits walk by. Stace [Ser Percy] (01:26:11): Whoa, man. All right. Daniel [GM] (01:26:13): But other than that, you guys are good. Marietta [Agrippina] (01:26:16): It's fine, I'm sure. Daniel [GM] (01:26:19): So you guys make your way to the Billy Goats Gruff. This place is smoky and dark. There are tables set up everywhere and people playing games. And as you walk in, you see this huge crowd of people, all sorts of creatures, creatures that you've seen all throughout the Heartwood, there are cedars here. There are centaurs. There are fairies. There are stranger creatures that seem to be mixes of different animals. Even see one humanoid-ish possum, but definitely not a were-possum because it seems to have complete control of its senses. And then at one corner gambling, you see one person roll some dice and lift their arms in victory. And they say in a high pitched voice, "Pay up bitches." And it is definitely a fairy with hair of cobalt blue. And that's where we'll end this episode. Alex [Ivy] (01:27:22): What? Sampson [Whitburn] (01:27:22): Damn. Marietta [Agrippina] (01:27:22): Blue hair, blue hair! Is it long or is it short? Daniel [GM] (01:27:26): Short. It's a pixie cut. Marietta [Agrippina] (01:27:28): I have a wig that I could cosplay. Daniel [GM] (01:27:31): So, Stace. Something from you from this episode. Stace [Ser Percy] (01:27:34): I loved the whole fucking thing. I think that everybody has some great characters. Ah man, away from the episode. I mean, Kirsty's conundrum at the end. There was pretty cool, but it's got to be Bathsheba, like that shit's just fucking funny. Daniel [GM] (01:27:53): Yeah she was pretty cool. Stace [Ser Percy] (01:27:55): Especially because it is delivered so well. Of course the listeners can't see it, but Marietta just holds up her hands in sort of this L by her face and just starts talking. And that's the only indication that she's talking to Bathsheba. Daniel [GM] (01:28:12): It's really good. Marietta [Agrippina] (01:28:13): Our listeners can totally see visually with their eyeballs. Daniel [GM] (01:28:18): I think there'll be able to hear it in your voice. Marietta [Agrippina] (01:28:19): Okay good. Daniel [GM] (01:28:21): Very cool. So we have a segment that we do each week called player intrusions. That's where we offer you the listener, check out something we think you would really dig. This week at a Stace's turn. Stace, what would you offer our listeners an EXP to check out? Stace [Ser Percy] (01:28:34): I would offer our listeners an EXP to check out Mount & Blade: Warband, which is a little bit of an older game. I never played it until it was actually ported to Xbox, which anyone who's played a strategy game knows that console's usually not the best format, nevertheless, I was so obsessed with this game because it was so much fun. It's kind of like a medieval simulator. So you show up on this continent and you get to pick which kingdom you're sort of starting in, and you start out as just like a mercenary and you gather troops that you equip and upgrade. You can attack keeps and pledge loyalty to other monarchs, and eventually the point is to establish your own empire. And it is just really engaging. Stace [Ser Percy] (01:29:23): So there's an overland map, which is much more like the tactical game you probably think of. You're moving from here to there, you go into the keeps, you complete little quests and tasks, but then when you do the battles, its first person RPG style. I think you might be able to do third person as well, but you actually lead your troops. You can give your troops commands. You can give them voice commands. So I'm screaming into my headset, hold their position or advance. The voice works like half the time, but you can also give the commands through your controller. Xbox game pass was how I was first exposed to it, I was super obsessed to the point where Daniel was like, that weekend was like, "Hey Stace, did you just leave your X-Box on all weekend?" I had not left my Xbox on all weekend, dear listeners. I was actually, actually playing it. Stace [Ser Percy] (01:30:13): But one thing I will say is that if you have Xbox game pass, if you have ultimate where you can choose PC or X-Box, I would choose the PC. Or pick it up, it's often discounted on steam because some of the mods are really, really cool. They have a game of Thrones mod and a bunch of other different mods. And the kind of cool thing is the second game is in early access on steam. It's called Mount & Blade II: Bannerlord. I'm not participating in the early access because I really want to like the game. And sometimes I can't get past early access, so I'm waiting, but a lot of people are playing that and enjoying that as well. It's like a tactical strip strategy RPG. Stace [Ser Percy] (01:30:57): Oh, one of the kind of cool things that I liked about it too, was you could choose to be a woman protagonist or a male protagonist. And the thing about being a woman was you actually have some disadvantages you have to overcome, which I think is kind of realistic to the period a little bit. So just like real life, you got to work a little harder, but I guess that was kind of true to the setting because historically we know that that is the case, that women commanders and like warrior Queens were a little bit more rare historically. Not non-existent, just rare. And it kind of felt cool to play that way and become one of those rare women. I don't know. So yeah. Check it out. Marietta [Agrippina] (01:31:43): You are one of those rare women Stace. Stace [Ser Percy] (01:31:45): Aw, thanks. Daniel [GM] (01:31:47): That was cool. Honestly, I can't get out of my head this image of Stace yelling into a headset at her digital troops, trying to get them to do what they're supposed to do. Stace [Ser Percy] (01:31:58): Oh yeah. They're poor listeners. Daniel [GM] (01:32:00): What was the game again? Stace [Ser Percy] (01:32:01): Mount & Blade: Warband. Marietta [Agrippina] (01:32:02): Did you actually just get this game to practice yelling? Stace [Ser Percy] (01:32:06): I don't have to practice yelling. Marietta [Agrippina] (01:32:09): You're a successful yeller now? Stace [Ser Percy] (01:32:10): Yes. Extraordinarily. Marietta [Agrippina] (01:32:15): An accomplished yeller. Daniel [GM] (01:32:17): Yes. Okay. Well, if people wanted to reach out to us to tell us what they think about the podcast or about this game, how would they do that? Marietta. Marietta [Agrippina] (01:32:25): Well, a great place to start would be our website, which is explorerswanted.FM, and then they can find all of our links on there and sneak on over to our social medias. We're on Twitter as Explorers Wanted. And then we're on Instagram at Explorers Wanted podcast, and we have a Facebook page, we're Explorers Wanted podcast on there. And then if you really want to hang out with us on all of the social medias on our website there are links to our discord server, which you should definitely come hang out with us on discord. We're very active on there. We love talking to you. We love to hear your feedback. Show us your plants, show us your dog, any of that. It's the best place, and we're really desperate people, and lonely, if you would just come hang out with us. Marietta [Agrippina] (01:33:08): And if you're looking to support us financially and help us reach some of our big dreams goals, you can swing on over to Patrion and find us under Explorers Wanted podcast on there. And there are a few different tiers and we have goals that we are attempting to achieve. And I think we're pretty close to one of them Sampson [Whitburn] (01:33:27): Getting there. Daniel [GM] (01:33:29): And honestly, the best thing that you could do for us, if you'd like to show is to tell a friend and tell them what you liked about the show and why they should listen to us. The second best thing you could do is to leave us a five star review on a podcast directory like Apple podcasts, Stitcher, Podchaser, those written reviews make a huge difference with people giving the show a shot. If you didn't like the show, or if you just thought it was meh, I want to remind you of something. Daniel [GM] (01:33:55): And that is that beautiful things can also be deadly. That which shines can also blind or even cut you. The water that gives you life may yet drown you someday. These things are not completely within your power, but play it safe all the same. Be sure to make your peace with the green fairy of the woods so that she might pass by your home harmlessly. And remember that her preferred payment can come only from your heart, whether that be your obedient love, or the deepest red of your blood. If you want to reach out to us individually on social media, you can. You can find me on Twitter @Andrlik, A N D R L I K. Stace [Ser Percy] (01:34:34): You can find me on Twitter as well, @StaceWindu. Sampson [Whitburn] (01:34:38): Happy new year. Hopefully this one's better. I'm @SlamPotato. Alex [Ivy] (01:34:42): I'm just rustling a bag of potato chips constantly at @realteaunicorn Marietta [Agrippina] (01:34:46): And yeah, I'm still not really using Twitter. You can definitely reach me at Twitter @imonahike, but you can also find me actively participating in Instagram @imonahike. Daniel [GM] (01:34:56): Thank you all for listening. Hope you enjoyed the show, have a good day or weekend or whenever you're listening to this. And, bye!
