Have you ever ended the day feeling completely exhausted? And if you're a mom, I know you have. But when you think about it, you can't even explain why. Like you didn't do too much, you didn't run a marathon, you didn't solve world peace or anything really important, it seems, but your brain just feels tired. But don't worry, this season is about that feeling. Welcome to the Ariza Inspire Podcast, where mental health meets real life, and I'm your host, Samantha Ariza, therapist, educator, a semi-normal human being. It really depends on who you talk to, but overall, I'm your go to person for real, relatable conversations, about healing, growth, this whole emotional, mental health wellness thing. I'm here for you. Because around here, we believe that mental health doesn't have to be stiff. We're scary, and we keep it human, practical, and we have a little bit of fun along the way because you know what? Life's messy. It's way too serious sometimes, and we're all just trying to figure it out along the way. But this is not a replacement for therapy. I repeat, it's not meant to be therapy. This is just a way to get some help for yourself, for others. And just ways to figure out how to get through this all. And this is season five. Can you believe it? We already at season five? Because what if I told you? That you're not lazy, that you're not unmotivated, and you're definitely not broken, because if you are, I'm with you. Your brain is just. Overloaded and overwhelmed. In season 5 of the Ariza Inspire Podcast, we're going to dive into this topic, this topic of the hidden mental processes that drain your energy without you even realizing it. Like, why making too many decisions? Even the teeny tiniest ones, like, what am I going to have for dinner? Can leave you completely tapped out. Why trying to just push through? Doesn't really work. And that stress actually shuts down your motivation. And why starting something new or life changing, like changing your behavior and your habits, feels so much harder than it really needs to be. We're talking about why multitasking. You know that thing that we all say is great and we're all practiced in it. Is actually secretly exhausting you? And even when you think, even when you think you're being productive. It's really not helping you that way. Why unfinished tasks sit in the back of your mind and quietly. Drain all your energy all day long. And why sometimes you want to do something? And it's something that you really need to do, but your brain just Won't let you do it. It won't let you start. It won't let you get it done. Why does it do this? We'll also get into something even deeper. How the way you were taught to feel, how your culture, your identity, your environment, all of this shapes, your emotional world, and the ways you might not even question it, and the ways that make you think the way you think and do the things that you do. Because so many of the things we blame on ourselves, like, why can't I focus? Why am I so tired? Why can't I just do it? They're not character flaws. They're patterns, my friend. They're brain processes, and the thing is, they're all understandable, and we're all able to get to the nitty gritty of them all. So if your brain has been feeling, overloaded, overwhelmed, and overworked. If everything just feels harder, then it really needs to be. If you just feel stuck in that loop of trying, stopping, trying, stopping, starting again. The season's for you, my friend. Season 5 of the Ariza Inspire Podcast is going to be your guide to understanding. What's actually happening in your brain? So you can stop fighting yourself? And start working with your mind instead.
